I have a cousin who is a Bills die-hard fan. He says the same stuff when they are 4-6 each year. "Hey, still a chance"

We are the Bills of the MLB. Sucks.

We are more like the Browns of the NFL. At least the Bills have made it to multiple superbowls and have had some pretty competitive teams recently.

I've been over this before on here, but if you had to make a list for worst sports franchises of the last 10-15 years, the Mariners would easily be near the top of the list. I don't know the NHL, but the obvious teams that come to mind for each sport are: Sacramento Kings (NBA), Seattle Mariners (MLB), Cleveland Browns (NFL).

Wrong.... The Bills made 4 Super Bowls, the M's have never made it to the World Series, so IMHO they are worse than the Bills. :(

I understand that, I guess I meant of the past 15 or so years, with the long playoff droughts. Either way, its like the Bills and Mariners always have pre-season hope and optimisms, some experts and fans thinking they are a legitimate playoff contender hopeful (Unlike the Browns) and they are always a let down. Browns just suck, Mariners and Bills have talent and hope sometimes at least.

I wonder how bad it would suck to make it to 4 World Series in a row, lose every single one of them, and then never make it back.

Honestly, I think Bills fans have it worse than Mariners fans.

I agree. ....and once Lincoln is "offically" gone (by that I mean packed up his office and turned in all his keys to never return) then I'll start to be hopeful.......Unless Cishek is pitching in a close game.

This team continues to baffle me. Why the heck is Donn Roach and his 10.5 ERA back in the pen? What little faith I have left in Dipoto and Servais is evaporating day by day. You mean to tell me that out of the handful of relievers in the farm system with ERAs ranging from 2.3-3.3, not one of them is a better option than freaking Donn Roach? We've seen enough of him to know he's a turd. The same goes for David Rollins, and that dates back to last year.

I can't remember a season where this was this much drama, close games, etc.

Well, Heredia got his first hit and first RBI. Now Diaz is in to go for the save.

And acting a bit shaky.

OK...K, walk, K, K.

Been telling everyone for awhile now this kid is THE CLOSER!

When you can throw 100+, have a great offspeed pitch, and can locate, you can make mistakes and get away with it, and can pitch your way out of trouble.

Gee, so the phenom performed better than the scrub....who woulda thought.

I hope he stays in seattle a good long while, unlike C.Smith and C.Capps

How in Sam Hill are Smith, Lind, Cishek and Nuno still on this team? Did anybody see the prospects that teams were handing out? You can't decide if you should buy or sell so you do neither? Incredibly disappointing. We are going to miss the playoffs and get nothing for guys we could have at least got AAA relievers for. I love the two moves they did make, but expected to accomplish much more.

That was a tailor made game for Diaz; battle back in the 8th to set up his first ever save opportunity and he gets three strikeouts (albeit one walk included).

Mariano Rivera flashbacks for sure with this kid. I like Cishek as a righty specialist, mirroring Furbush (lefty specialist). It was awesome to see Cishek help Wilhelmsen give Diaz a Gatorade shower after the save!

52 strikeouts in just 26 innings ...I'll admit, mancrush.

Yeah, I've been waiting, wishing they would do this for a while.
