So a bunch of us hammered on Miley early in the year, but he's had like 4-5 good starts in a row. They pulled him after six with a 10-0 lead. He only gave up two hits in his six IP. Happy to see him turn it around and love seeing the Ms on their way to a W after getting swept by the Angels.

Great response to the sweep and the sky is falling talk that was starting to creep in this weekend. Miley did great.

I think a lot of us had a knee-jerk reaction to his bad start. He is what he is. A back-end of the rotation guy who can give you close to 200 innings, but will probably have an ERA above 4. So far I can't complain with Miley, he has been very good since the rocky start.

Just saw the rangers lost last night so we're back in 1st. Hopefully they lose again tonight.

So much for unraveling. 2016 Mariners laugh in the face of knee-jerk reactions and say "we got this" to fickle unbelievers everywhere.

At least for today (yesterday).

When Cano, Cruz, and Seager are hot the Mariners look unbeatable.

The M's are ok,teams do lose a couple in a row.The Cubs have lost 2 in a row and 3 of 4 if I'm correct. The bullpen is a concern however but can be fixed Benoit is back,I wonder how Paxton is doing among others at AAA.Go M's!!!

Seth Smith as well. Pretty lethal 2,3,4, and 5 hitters.

Got to love Smith. Maybe the most consistent hitter the past year-plus. I wonder why we aren't going with Marte at leadoff? I like Aoki's persistence at the plate but I'd like to see Ketel batting first for awhile.

Nice series win and more importantly bull pen did great.

Benoit was clearly rusty but only gave up one run in a bases loaded jam

Sischek did great.

Thought it was a pretty good game. Wish they could do this for Felix, you know get some runs and pad the lead in late innings. I'll give Benoit a pass on his first action in about a month or more. At least he didn't give up a 4-bagger.

AL West is a joke, we should have no problem winning this division. The Astros are heating up a bit, but I still think they have some issues, mainly their starting pitching.

It annoys me that we haven't broke away from the pack yet. Only 1.5 games ahead of the Rangers who just got swept by the A's. Would like more space.

9 of next 12 games are against Last place teams - Reds, Twins, Padres. Should give Ms chance to extend their lead in AL West. :thirishdrinkers:

I know, don't get too far ahead of yourself, but on paper, appears that the Mariners SHOULD prevail.

I can still hear the chant of the Yankee fans in 2001 during the 116 win season - " OVER-RATED!"

To be honest, I'm just grateful for the season the Mariners have had so far. I'm here marking time until the Seahawks season begins. It's more fun to see the Mariners being competitive than watching them slip farther and farther from a post-season playoff berth.
