Another Matt Ryan? Ryan is arguably a top 5 QB in this league. Flynn's ceiling was never that high.

You know this how? I find it believable because Matt Flynn is a somewhat slight QB who i don't believe could take many big hits.

They're calling it "tendinitis." Conveniently the same thing he came down with last year after Wilson outplayed him in a pre-season game. I'm not a doctor, but I don't think tendinitis typically arises out of big hits. It comes from overusing a muscle. Hard to imagine since Flynn's been going three-and-out all preseason. How many QBs can you name who've come down with tendinitis after taking a big hit? Heck, can you even name the last QB besides Flynn who's missed a game due to elbow tendinitis?

The only thing sore right now is the dude's pride.

If you take a hit on a elbow whether it be in the NFL or bang it on a object and cause it to inflame and continue to use it you can stress and cause the tendon to become swollen, doing this makes gripping and motion not only painful but can detach and tear the tendon, continued use can also cause nerve damage and loss of sensation in the fingers.

If he took a hit and with all the throws in practice and usage on top of last years siuation you could have a chronic situation where the membrane that protects the tendon and nerve gets irratated easliy.

Been there done that and had to have the surgery and also the nerve trunk that goes thru the elbow detached and left floating because I went to long without the tendon surgery.
