Our entire QB room costs 1/4 as much as Geno. Purdy outproduced Geno from week 13 on when he started AND he beat him twice!
This post is the most uninformed thing I've read this week and that's saying something during draft week.

Draft capital is enormously valuable. Even if we set that aside, the 49ers have the higher QB cap hits in 2023.

Seahawks QB Room
Zero draft picks
$14.1m 2023 cap hit

49ers QB Room
Three first round picks
One third round pick
One seventh round pick
$15.3m 2023 cap hit

Sf protected Purdy with running the ball and check downs. Nothing crazy . We'll see how things go in year 2.

Lynch gave up a lot for Lance and he crapped his pamper.
Sf has a fantastic qb room with ... uh..
Huh...um...

Yeah.

After watching a lot of NFL backup QBs (Hoyer, Beathard) and Garoppolo behind center for the 49ers, Purdy was quite a revelation. Purdy does a lot of stuff JG rarely did: Good pocket presence, leads receivers, willing to throw downfield. He's also tough, playing through injuries to oblique / ribs, didn't practice before the TNF game vs. Seahawks and came out and performed. This suggests you're in the denial phase about Purdy.

you're bragging about a back loaded contract to a 33 year old QB with a cap hit over 30 mil for 2024 and 2025.

IDK maybe I'm in denial about how awesome Purdy is. Let's revisit this after
Week 10 of the upcoming season.

2024 2025. Way cheaper. And allows us to keep our bevy of all pros. Also draft capital is spent over 2021,2022, 2023

Gloat all you want, this is your time. But the 49ers' reign over the NFC West is about to come to an end. The loss of all those players in free agency, the salary cap (Bosa's big pay day) and injuries will take their toll (Deebo's career will last as long as a RB's, not a WR).

After drafting top 5 for the last number of years they do have a good team. They're ahead of Seattle now but I have a feeling things are getting more interesting in the NFC west. SF was losing at home against a team with the 27th ranked defense .

The Niners own promotion of Trey has really changed. They had relentlessly Tweeted him through Jimmy’s performances and into Purdys. “Here’s Lance navigating a scooter to get to a meeting! Here’s Lance on the plane with us to Mexico! Here he is wearing an division champs t shirt before anyone else has showered. Here he is giving teammates 500 dollar sound bars merry Christmas!”

But then it just stopped.

LOL , you led by a point! at halftime! Which was the only time the Seahawks led the 49ers thew WHOLE season! LMAO and you ended up giving up 41 points. It wasnt even close, ALL SEASON.

And to your second point, the only top pick of note that is still in their rookie contract is Bosa. Armstead is on his second contract. Kinlaw is not a key piece. Lance is not a key piece. Williams FA, Deebo 2, CMC FA, Warner 2, Kittle 5, Purdy 7, Aiyuk late 1, Charvarious Ward FA, Hufunga 5, Juice FA all free agent picks and lower draft picks. So, no, out team was not built by high draft picks anymore. Quite the opposite actually. And having Purdy on a cheap rookie contract for 5 years allows us to sign Bosa and keep the gang together

Dude .

I don't care . I hate your team. You can argue and state your points (didn't read
Very much BTW) but you're on Seahawks.net. Seattle is your Daddy.
Except for the last few years 😂

No one likes you at any of the niner sites?

That’s funny because I’m looking at the numbers and the numbers tell a different story. And your quarterback room is ass son. You’re good because of a defense and running game not because of Trey Bust and Turdy

Fine but a cheap qb room allows an all pro running back , the number one defense in the league and the reigning defensive mvp to stay with the team. And Purdy did outproduce Geno the weeks he started

Sadly, FACTS. I'm just hoping we pick up a couple good interior O-Linemen and some D Front 7 that can avoid being overpowered by SF's strong lines. To me the key moment in that Wildcard game was when Geno had the Hawks in the red zone, late in the 3rd Qtr, and a TD would give Seattle the lead. On 3rd and 14, SF rushes 4, against 5 Seattle O-Line, and they get home, cause a fumble by Geno, and then SF goes the other way against the Hawks outmanned D and score with the turnover.

That play was a total FAIL for the Seahawks O-Line, and indeed overall offensive scheme. Along with the ensuing 49er drive, it showed the gap between the two teams. Looking forward to see if Schneider, Carroll, Waldron, and Hurtt can close the gap this upcoming season with some talent pickups and scheme adjustments.
