It was. LolJust like it was dumb to blame Servais for similar losses, which you have regularly done. Pretty sure that was his point.

Ribs. Yum!Still can't decide on Ribs or BBQ Chicken. Damn.
You're acting like I'm hating on the guy or something. Not true. But I think it's fair to question what's up with him, other than baseball's just a hard game. Can anyone say for certain that he won't play a lot more like this year than the previous two next year? And if so, wouldn't that be a bit of cause of concern? So you're taking this one season over 2 years of production? Why? Ronald Acuna was MVP last year. This year he's hitting worse than Julio. Maybe Acuna sucks now? Baseball is f'ing hard. Guys have down years. If this is just a down year for Julio you're looking at a potential hall of fame player still. Julio has way too much talent to be doubted by anyone at this point in my opinion.
I don't think you're trying to hate on him. I just think there may be some recency bias involved, which I get. I've been frustrated with Julio all year long too. However, when you take a step back and separate from this year, logic says this is more likely just a down year and not indicative of the rest of his career. It's not uncommon for hitters to have down years in their careers. It's also not like he didn't hit in the minors coming up too. He raked, and has hit in almost every single year he's played pro ball. He's also already shown signs of figuring it out. Before he got hurt he was mashing. Then after coming back he had one bad game and then went on another hitting streak. He's been cold recently but he's also had a bit of bad BABIP luck. He had 2 hits today and should have had a 3rd if not for a spectacular play by the 1st baseman playing way off the bag. I think he's already shown signs of figuring it out and I expect he'll have a much better plan against being pitched inside next year (which is how the league adjusted to trying to get him out this year). His HR today was an inside pitch where he pulled his hands in and pulled it out... He's adjusting, and the league is going to have to try to figure something else out because if they let him pull the ball all day pitching inside, he's the kind of guy that can set the record for HRs in the derby...You're acting like I'm hating on the guy or something. I tend to think he'll bounce back. But what exactly must he overcome that's got his game down now? And can he do it by next season some time?
