Trying to use stats as facts only works in comparable situations and only if looking at all stats. You cannot compare the heaviest run first offense in the league statistically to a pass first offense. It doesn't equate. You need to also look at YAC, catch percentage, route running and speed and much more. Boldins total yards doesn't translate to doing the same on another team and that is especially true in Seattle where we pass less than the rest of the league.

I at work so can't look up stats right now but the whole story changes if you factor everything in. How has Boldin done when asked to be the #1?

I'm not being a homer in my statement above. We just releases Michael Robinson because he was due 2.5 million. The cap is at the front of our priority right now for obvious reasons and because we have very good depth filled with guys that look like very good potential starters in the near future Bold in very likely would not make our roster without restructuring his pay.

None of your other receivers would stand a chance at stealing a roster spot here and that is not homerism. There is a reason you still don't know who your #2 will be throughout the season and you are trading for guys like Baldwin who are considered a massive bust.

Your FO would kill right now to have any one of our current backups and like I said before, any one if them would be immediate starters for you. Sorry but that is the truth.

Once again, all your doing is giving me your opinion. I respect that you feel your WR's are so talented.

What's it like having only watched the 49ers the last two seasons?

Those WRs suck...and that's putting it nicely. AZs WR unit will put up better numbers than that mediocre group of players being dubbed "starters".

If Crabtree was still there at least you would have a decent number one. Having ONLY Davis makes it easy to game plan for.

Seriously, if anyone here hasn't looked at the most recent depth chart for this team...go do it now...it's a joke.

It's been fun, I really enjoy watching my team make it all the way to January/February.

How about you? I assume you haven't had the enjoyment of watching your team play as long.

FYI, before last season...SF hadn't been to the Super Bowl in 13 years.

The 'hawks made it to the big game in 2006...6 years ago...

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Bandwagon fans are the worst.

Denver looks pretty good this year, you should check them out.

Congratulations. You finally had your two year run just like we let AZ and the rams. We were nice enough to let you guys have a two year run too. We did make you wait till last because you really have been the worst team in the NFC west since re-alihnment but in fairness ( because WR are a generous people) we let you have a couple winning seasons.

Unfortunately and I hate to be the one to break the news but your run is over. Your receiver corp and secondary a in complete shambles and the two most important players on your team are 30 and 34 years old and your depth is atrocious and why you were forced to play your starters more than anyone else in the league.

Anyway you can go back to being a Raiders fan next year, mmmkay.

Might want to check your facts again. We were playing in January.

And while I'm not as high on our WR's as I am on Wilson's escapability, we didn't lose to the Falcons because of WR issues alone. Even a grain of healthy pass rush would have handed us that game.

Great response... you just proved what you are really all about. Came here and acted like you want to talk football. Some guys poke holes in your five deep receiver garbage and you play this card. Classssssy.

Yes the Hawks lost Harvin and yes the niners lost Crabtree but facts are facts. The niners have more depth at the WR position then the hawks. I only say this not because I'm a niner fan but because i know football but as long as Anquan Boldin and Vernon Davis are in the lineup, there going to look better (as far as big names) then any two WR Seattle puts on paper not Named Percy. Don't take this comment as me saying that Boldin and Davis are better than Seattle's WR, it's just to non Hawk fans those names are more recognizable.

Sorry but I disagree. The seahawks have Rice, Baldwin, Tate, Kearse, and williams. 5 good WR's so their depth is definitely better. When u have to convert a TE to WR that says a lot about depth at a position. I might be bias but I think Rice and Tate are overall better than Davis who has never played wr and boldin who's getting up there. We'll see though

Well the niners WR depth is Boldin,Davis, Patton, Williams, Moore and Baldwin and thats not even mentioning Crabtree or Manningham. We can debate this all day you'll stand by your team and i'll stand by mine. The truth of the matter is that because of Boldin and of Davis the loss of Crabtree does not appear to be as major. If you were to go out and ask any fan (not seahawk) they would have a hard time knowing who the seahawk WR are.

If you think Golden Tate is unrecognizeable in any corner of this planet, you're probably mistaken. And it's not because of the damn Packers game. All that did was draw attention to his highlight reel escapability and YAC talent. I'm not up on him as a route-runner, but he has a talent of making things happen with the ball.

And of course Boldin was more productive. He got thrown to more. Way more. You do realize that won't happen in San Fran, right? Regardless of exactly how they're trying to use Kaepernick, he'll be running quite a bit more than any previous QB who's thrown to Boldin. Be prepared for his stats to go down.

Green Bay, New England, and New Orleans have won Super Bowls with receiving stables that were no-name until they won it all. Recognizability is hardly a "gotcha" argument. Nor is writing "opinion" with all capital letters.

I don't understand people's obsession with Bayless's opinion. I personally don't think the Seahawks are the best team in Football either, I also agree we haven't improved that much over last year. If we were healthy we might have, but because of those injuries the beginning of the season is going to be rough. I disagree that the 49ers are better since they are probably worse given their injuries and I doubt Kaepernik and his obvious limitations is sneaking up anybody this year. I definately don't think Atlanta is the 2nd best team in the NFL, and frankly given their history I wouldn't be surprised if they missed the playoffs this year entirely. When he says we might have lost to the Redskins in the playoffs if Griffon wasn't hurt I kind of agree with him. Even gimped he was running up and down the field on us and we had seemed to have no answer to it. I don't agree with him that the Redskins are the 3rd best team in football, because frankly they aren't. I also disagree with him about Wilson being the one who will suffer the sophomore slump this years since I think that distinction belongs Griffon given the system he plays in. He and Kaepernik are the QBs set for a sophomore slump more then either Luck or Wilson.

Exactly my thoughts, I dispute his point on WR's and he plays the we went to the SB trump card. I wasn't disputing who went farther last year

About those Redskins? He should watch tonight's game. RG3 is probably 2-3 weeks away from being truly ready if that. Other than that Green Bay is soft, we aren't and Boldin will be removed given we have the team speed that lets us not to be forced to over focus on contain concerning Kaepernick.

Unfortuantly, this will easily be diverted by skip with the simple mention of RustyG3. Zero snaps during a preseason... yada yada.

Uninfortunately I believe you're correct. A RG3 fully right? Philadelphia is cooked. Shanahan already figured out how to school Kelly in one half. It mostly involves actually not going 3 and out constantly. Kind of like the Giants committing 6 turnovers.

Be nice if RG3 was more than a shell of himself. Philadelphia is way too blitz happy. They will be burned because they just don't have the talent defensively to hold up under what the offense is demanding.

That and Vick will never survive. You are running a classic spread/ RO with Vick? Good luck with that. Really disappointed with Gruden's man slobbering concerning Kelly's offense.
