He didn't have a proper injury though, sure it was more precautionary and if it was worse he wouldn't be playing. So he should be almost fully healthy with no legs muscles that have to be built back up etc. At worst he has missed a few weeks of practice and might not be as sharp but I think even then if he trains all week he may be able to play some part. If the Sounders season wasn't on the line I wouldn't rush it but we need his help.

Garth better get some better talent up front in the off season, whether we have Dempsey or not. Feels like he thought Jordan Morris could step up right away to replace Oba when that wasn't the case.

Now the off season issue is going to be Clint. If his career is still up in the air before training camp starts, then what do we do? Release him? Hold onto him hoping he comes back?
Just playing the waiting game means we'll have a DP slot and cap space tied up in a player that may or may not be here. That could mean this version of this club fighting for a playoff slot bleeds well into next year.
