Maybe a beatdown is waiting in the wings for the 9ers. It's been a while. We run over them and stuff them on O. 31-10 hawks. Statement game.

After 7 grueling months…

Seahawks football is back baby!!

Hope springs eternal for all 32 teams this time of year. Everybody is undefeated. Dreams of January and February football abound. Why not us?

We Seahawks fans have every reason to feel optimistic heading into the 2025 season. Two fantastic drafts back-to-back, a cerebral, no-nonsense head coach, a defense that can be argued will be Top 3 this season, and an offensive line that by every metric has improved significantly and in my estimation, an underrated offense in general.

The 2025 Seattle Seahawks are primed to be that dark horse team, outperforming the national narrative of mediocrity.

Let the games begin! Of course it’s hyperbolic to say this is a must win game. Mathematically it’s nowhere near, but tone setting? Absolutely.

Divisional games are always tougher and almost always closer than we want. I do not expect us to walk all over the 49ers Sunday but I do expect a sound defensive performance that limits their explosiveness, and a solid running game to sustain drives and eat up the clock, ultimately wearing them down.

Seahawks should prevail, regardless of by how much, setting the tone for the season to come.

Aros’ Fearless Prediction: Seahawks 24 - 49ers 17

Offense starts slow but grinds the game to a victory. Defense bends and gives up a couple bone headed plays. Then finishes well. Looking forward to getting this season started. It’s like Christmas Eve.

Wow. Mooch, Kurt, and Gerald are f-cking clueless.

I mean it's one thing if this took place in the 49ers stadium but this is at Lumen Field and it's the home-opener for the Hawks.

F those guys and bless Rich for believing in the Hawks (more specifically Sam Darnold)

Outplayed all day. Hate the Niners but the Hawks got outplayed all day long. Tip of the cap to Santa Clara. The better team today, PERIOD.
You mean Kubiak got outplayed all day long.

The f*ck was he thinking with that playcalling??

Was he trying to outsmart Shannahan by....doing the COMPLETE OPPOSITE of what the gameplan should've been? (Running the Ball)

Also, Kenneth Walker should be embarassed.

He had 10 carries for 20 yards....if that's not enough to be embarassed, Sam Darnold had just 2 carries for 14 yards.

The QB was just 6 yards shy of who is supposed to be the Running Back. smh.

Kenneth Walker, start walking.....

Outplayed all day? I would not say that. Not at all. Your defense shut the offense down pretty much all game long. That last TD was a stroke of luck.

I really believed, and still believe, that the Seahawks would have torched the rebuilt defense. Which has been rebuilt with youth. We had rookies all over that lineup. Defenses with that many rookies in the rotation normally start slow. It takes about seven to eight games. I was expecting this. I thought it would be a shootout to be honest with you. I was shocked by how well the Seahawk defense shut down Purdy. And they did. For the most part.

That game could have gone either way. I think most of you know that. The 49ers were extremely lucky to get out of Lumen with a W today. That's just my opinion. But it is how I really feel.

The Niners absolutely outplayed and outcoached the Hawks yesterday. Take a look at the total yards and time of possession. If it wasn't for the missed fg and blocked fg, and a couple picks, they win by double digits. It was a good battle, you guys earned it.
Yes, the game could have went either way, but the Niners also left a lot of points on the board.
It's no secret I hate the Niners with a passion, but they were the better team yesterday, period.

Excuses don't change that. Side note: REEK SUCKS

Some good stuff and some bad stuff. Had the game right there for the taking too.
