The pitcher can launch it into the dugout and this ump would still call it a strike
Yeah, the ump was all over tonight. I guess he did both teams bad, but he sucked TBS.

11 in a row, 2d time in team history. Good stuff!

The homeboys pull it out. Pen held it long enough to get the lead. You know stuff is going great when “bad Marco” showed up and you still get the W. (y)
Even with his crap start, he pitched 6 innings and protected the bullpen pretty well given the situation. Gave up 5, but still kept us in the game. Marco is the new Jaime Moyer. Doesn't throw hard, but knows how to pitch. Up and down, in and out, changing speed all the while.

Great game!

For it still being a bit early in the season, that was a very important game, I think. Tons of reasons to lose it, but they pulled through. This team is really coming together in a good way.

Walking seag made sense, good move
Love Castillo, but yeah, no reason to take that chance. Seager has been hot lately, no way you give him the chance to win the game on one swing in that situation. Take our chances with the next guy in line. (y)

I wouldn't say it was an important win, but I think it said a lot about this team. They could have easily given up falling behind early coming off a double header, but they continued to fight back.

All around great effort. Anyone know why JP got scratched before the game? And is that really an inside the park HR when the CF clearly misplays the ball?

The rest of the series is very winnable based on the pitching matchups. I don't think Texas has announced their starter for today.

Well, keeping that streak alive matters a lot, I think. Especially since it raised us on the WC standings. Have to seize those opportunities. But I don't know that we disagree a whole lot on that.

I don't think they announced about JP, but I think it might have been a food "poisoning" thing. They said he was looking weak and sluggish. Maybe that will come out today.

If the official scorekeeper calls it a HR, it's a HR. 😄 While the OF did misplay it, they often give the hitter the benefit of the doubt on plays like that, like when they misjudge a fly and the batter gets an extra base or something. Hell, a couple of days ago the OF had the ball bounce off his glove and over the wall and they called it a HR. Who am I to judge?

I think I saw something somewhere that JP has a bruised finger and is day-to-day.
Well, that's possible. It looked like he jammed it or something a couple of days ago. He was rubbing it and pulling on it while talking to Eugenio on the field.

If one of those things I’ve never gotten. Basically in MLB if the OF never touches the ball it’s a hit, even if he made a bad decision and the ball gets by him. In my mind it should have been a single and a 3 base error.

It’s all good though as long as they get the W.
