Exactly. What the hell. And the meltdown about the non-existent meltdown begins already.

Way easier than talking about football.Exactly. What the hell.![]()
Who knows? I guess if it wasn't a quick and immediate decision then that means they missed out on all the best prospects and are stuck with bottom-of-the-barrel OCs who are destined to suck.I don't understand why people were so impatient about this. How would it have mattered or made any difference if this was announced a week ago? It's still January. The conference championship games aren't even over yet.
You clearly don't understand sarcasm. And the meltdown about the non-existent meltdown begins already.
I heard "long-time" and "successful". I'll take it.Look for Kubiak to bring over the Saints OL coach, John Benton. Benton is a long-time NFL OL coach who has coached successful under-center ZBS for decades.
Nah… it’s genoFire Kubiak... first to say it...
I think OC is hard to fill. You either get an old HC who has been fired, or you get a person who’s never held the reins. How often do experienced OC’s change teams without a promotion? And head coach is basically the only promotionWas he really their top choice? I don't know. Just asking...
Benton, if he comes to Seattle would be a great fit for what we have now.Look for Kubiak to bring over the Saints OL coach, John Benton. Benton is a long-time NFL OL coach who has coached successful under-center ZBS for decades.
He's been an OL coach in the league for decades. Outside a few seasons in SF I'm not sure I'd go crazy about his resume.Look for Kubiak to bring over the Saints OL coach, John Benton. Benton is a long-time NFL OL coach who has coached successful under-center ZBS for decades.
Coached a textbook awesome ZBS with the Texans under Klint's dad. He's no Jeff Stoutland, but he can get a unit into operational shape in a scheme he's familiar with. He's been an OL coach in the league for decades. Outside a few seasons in SF I'm not sure I'd go crazy about his resume.
Perhaps, or considering the clear hassle to find an OC, I wouldn’t be surprised if this entire time they were working it details like not taking off the very next season for a HC job or pay bumps every year to ensure he stays for a bit. Maybe, I don’t know. I just don’t want this again next year. Why did it take so long? I suspect he was our second maybe third choice
I’m ok with the familiarity between them. Just like the article about McDonald and our harbaugh, it’s about relationshipsCoached a textbook awesome ZBS with the Texans under Klint's dad. He's no Jeff Stoutland, but he can get a unit into operational shape in a scheme he's familiar with.
