Sataoa Laumea will start against the Jets instead of Christian Haynes. toffee's take:

Good: Young Macdonald starts the best player instead of draft position etc.,
Bad: Come on Schneider, who was our college scout?

He was ranked by the whole league, some guys take a while to acclimate, some don't ever get it or can't handle the step up in physicality.

Haynes still at times shows he could learn, frankly think he like a few others need to get stronger or play with a nastier streak. Each other the other interior OLinemen display much the same problems and each have difficulty moving the pile. I'm starting to suspect it may be the coaching or the scheme as set by the OLine coach and not the players. Let's see if Laumea does any better.

+1
Bad: Also, who was our OL consultant?? It was Hutch I suspect. I recall the consultant saying something to the effect “ we just got an “explicative” really good player”

We need to be patient with Haynes as lots of younger OLine players take a while to get it as far as their needed physicality and their ability to both pass protect and runblock. Some who have talent however just can't make the transition to big boy ball.

Hope Sataoa can handle Q Williams. He's a 4x all Pac 12 selection so nice accolades but tough assignment today.
