Twitter feeds are saying stem cell treatment to grow more knee cartridge . Not legal in the USA I guess

Stem cell osteopathy treatments are legal in the US, as are prolotherapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP). My DO (Doctor of Osteopathy) does them, but pretty much no insurance covers them and the stem cell is the "Cadillac" treatment (it's also the most uncomfortable one. For the stem cell treatments they stick a needle in your bone and suck out marrow. Maybe Rice is going to Europe because they can get the tissue from somewhere else (someone said cadaver; don't know if that's viable).

I've gotten a torn suprasinatus (rotator cuff) tendon that wouldn't heal and a displaced ulnar nerve fixed through this kind of stuff. Recovery isn't instant but it accelerates the body's repair process so much that you'll see substantial improvement in weeks to months. If I had surgery on my shoulder it would have taken me months to recover. My wife is getting nerve damage relief in her back with PRP.

If you guys get connective tissue tears/damage you should find a DO who will do prolotherapy, PRPs, and stem cell procedures. It's not covered by insurance but I'd rather spend my money on getting my shoulder fixed than something stupid. I also recommend using basic lifts (squat/deadlift/press/bench press) around the treatments so you can see the healing progress in action as you progress through new weights you were unable to do before.

I'm not too worried about this. Lots of athletes in different sports have done this before seasons start. From what I heard, this was a scheduled appointment that he had from some time ago. It's not like he tweaked his knee during practice and flew off to Switzerland to get it fixed.

Sidney has been coddled ever since he arrived here. Every season he's got some boo boo that he's rehabbing and getting special treatment for from the team. It's starting to become frustrating and must be so for the coaches. Just so you know his salary is $8.5 mil. This year and was recently reported to be one of the worst deals in the league.

If he can't be a full go this season I think perhaps it may just be time to be looking at Sidney in the rear view mirror next year.

A professional athlete relies on his body and so does the team for which he plays. Taking optimal care of that body is not coddling. It's protecting a valuable
Investment.

He is not having surgery. He is not going to miss any time, per Pete, other than a couple days of camp. This has been planned in conjunction with the team and their docs and is happening now because it was the only time the place he's going to could schedule him in.

Why not get the procedure in the offseason. He did miss practice, did he not? I'm sure he will be good to go for the 1st preseason game. Just seems like odd timing.

As I said, this was the only time he could get in. Just like any other doc, you're at the mercy of their calendar.

It looks as though the only reason this story has legs is because of the timing, and that's because the doctor in Switzerland is booked up and this is the only time Rice could get in?

/thread I guess

I want somebody to buy ME Regenokine therapy for Christmas.

How about .net pays for me to get the therapy done, then I'll write a 5,000 word essay on my experience with it so we can have a better understanding of what Sidney Rice is going through.

C'mon Rock, whaddaya say...?

Rice is missing valuable training camp time, he will never be able to catch up with Bevels complex offense. He hasn't played in this offense his entire career. It will be to much for him to pick up. Even if he didn't get surgery, I rather someone injury prone at a thin position take it easy.

What about "non-surgical procedure" do you not understand, dummy?

It's something sexual I'm sure...
