This is fine. Players have issues that they manage but never go away. This is to make Rice feel better, not the difference between playing and not playing, so if anything it is a good thing. I saw a show where Dr. Andrews was talking about this. He said he recommends athletes all the time to do it, as it severely decreases their recovery time, and normally they're brand new. And yes, ya gotta leave the country to get it done.
