I follow the Jets because my daughter is a big Jets fan. Robert Saleh was generally doing a good job. Jets fans are shocked by the firing.

The report is that Saleh was planning to either fire Rodger's BFF Nathaniel Hackett or take away his play-calling duties. Rodgers got wind of it and got Woody Johnson to fire Saleh.

Jets are just a dysfunctional franchise. Now that Dan Snyder is gone, Woody Johnson is in a close race with Panther's owner David Tepper to be worst NFL owner.

Ikr? My kids were raised there, so it was difficult to fight the local influences. I blame Mark Sanchez and Ryan Fitzpatrick. However, my son is a Seahawks and Mariners fan. And at least they didn't become Yankee fans (or Mets fans) despite going to Yankee and Met games as children.

And being a Jets fan is its own punishment. Truly miserable.

That was my opinion when I heard Saleh got fired: If he isn't offered a HC job somewhere else next year, he'll probably go back to the 49ers as a DC. After this year are the key words, as you said.
