Why did Russ have an animal handler bring a predatory reptile to his child's birthday party? The mind boggles.

I'd feel the same way if he'd gotten someone to bring a lion or an alligator or a hippo to his child's birthday party. (Hippos aren't carnivorous, but they can kill a human in an instant if they suddenly get motivated to do so.)
