I remember when we first got him he was coming off his second team (Eagles) and there was a lot of soundbites over his comment "For who? For what?" due to not wanting to give his all to the team. I thought, "Ah man, great, another malcontent."
It couldn't be further from the truth.
When he became a Seahawk, he quickly became my favorite Seahawk at the time. I am hard pressed to think of a Seahawks player that played harder, on every down, than Ricky Watters. Every down felt like it was his last, or 4th down in the Super Bowl. Emotional, emotions on his sleeve kind of guy. My kind of guy. I wish he would have spent his entire career with us. Stud.
