That was great....a motivated kid who grew up with two parents who PARENTED him and instilled good values in him. He's got his head on straight with what is important, especially going with a degree from Stanford.

I also like how well-spoken he is...you can see the light behind his eyes and he doesn't mutter or mumble through interviews. Now you can add that he's a pretty good writer as well.

they're setting themselves up for a career after football.... even if they weren't intelligent guys who could find a job elsewhere, mike rob will clearly have a career that springboards from the real rob report

Wow, moved from Watts to Compton... that's jumping from the frying pan into the fire. Good on that family for keeping the focus on education and sports and staying the course in a positive direction while being surrounded by so many negative opportunities.

He owned Bayless, and it was epic. Guaranteed there were athletes in all sports LOVING what Sherm did to that p.o.s.

Earl Thomas, walked over to Tom. Earl had already intercepted him and said something like, “I got one pick, and I should have had two more!” And Brady responded with something like, “Who are you? Come talk to me after we win.”

So after we won, 24–23, I went up to Tom, and he wouldn’t talk to me

LOL, oh Tom

The Bayless thing was awkward for everyone. I understand the point, and what he was trying to accomplish... but it didn't work. It was memorable I guess.

That's your opinion, he called out a guy who makes a living calling people out. It was against a guy who flat out had it coming. Do your thing Sherm.

It's not really what he did or was trying to do, it was how he did it. He came off very badly and frankly not very intelligent, regardless of the fact that he likes to shove the Stanford thing in everyone's face. The whole "i'm better at life than you" is so cringeworthy. I could barely make it through the interview.

You're still .NET's #1 Sherman fan though, so it wasn't enough to sway you that much. A little awkward? Yes. Uncalled for? Possibly. But Sherm is gonna be Sherm. He's going to stand up for himself and his teammates, and not only defend himself, but attack offensively as well. That's why he wanted to play receiver in college. He can do it both. I think he took things maybe a little personal from Skip, but sometimes it's okay to do that. It shows that he cares.

You don't watch, or go on, First Take for intelligent debate. The whole show is basically a screaming match devoid of thought, Sherman's intent was to beat Bayless at his own game.

Loved everything in there, well aside from when he brought up the Skip incident, I really thought that was just a bit awkward for everyone involved.

I hear what you're saying. Awkward a little, but I think the fact that it was Bayless made it awesome imo. I hate that guy so much, he had it coming to him. Sherm just did what many players have probably wanted to do. Did he go overboard? Maybe, but sometimes when someone is backed into a corner, they're gonna' say goofy stuff.
