Hawks would be dumb to extend him.until he proves he can win in the playoffs. If he doesn't like it he can go elsewhere.
I believe Geno has more leverage than fans think. Macdonald isn't going to get fired if he goes 6-11 this year, but given that he's a huge unknown in this business, he likely still feels considerable pressure to get his head coaching tenure off to a strong start. Geno is unquestionably the leader of the offense and the guy who commands the most respect from his teammates. If Geno threatens to make himself unavailable, I don't see Mac flippantly shrugging his shoulders and saying "Oh well, next man up."
Why not? The report was simply that a dialogue was opened. There's no demand on the table or expectation that this'll have to be done imminently.2 weeks before the season starts? No thx.
Fair enough. I just don't agree he deserves more money. He needs to shut his pie hole and play ball. Just my own opinion. Why not? The report was simply that a dialogue was opened. There's no demand on the table or expectation that this'll have to be done imminently.
They're just talkin' for now
Nothing about his play at any point in the past 2 years has remotely resembled a benchwarmer.I know that this will be unpopular, but Geno needs to face the facts. He isn't that good, and the Seahawks just aren't that into him. He is making an order of magnitude more than he would if we had a decent other option and he was on the bench where he belongs.
