People looking for referee errors that made it an non-level playing field should have bothered to watch Carolina get shafted against the 49ers.
I find it funny that 49er fans are fine with taking the advantages they were handed and then complain about bad officiating in the next game.
They lost because their QB throws risky passes to covered receivers. It worked for one TD but the odds catch up to you.
The "roughing the kicker" argument is pushing it. The defender slid to a stop barely nudging the kicker and the kicker collapsed when he felt the contact (as they are trained to do).
Honestly, give how Kap was throwing he would have probably gotten another pick anyway. The missed fumbled was kicked forward anyway so those missed calls offset. The missed interception by Bowman was offset by another fumble giving it right back to them in better field position.
So that leaves the blow to the head near the start of the game call as the only thing they could complain about, and frankly the defender had already hit the Seattle receiver, the receiver was already perpendicular and going down after contact and SF defender sized up the Seattle receiver and initiated contact anyway. It could have easily been a "defenseless receiver" roughness call anyway, because it was a completely unnecessary hit.
As it was, they lost because they gave up a 4th down TD and because their QB was throwing high risk passes.
