about to all explode together? (get your mind out of the gutter)

Maybe missing all those OTAs and training camp matters for Dlineman. Now they are finally all revved up in football shape?

Reed had to sit out all team activity. Clowney held out until the Hawks got him in Sept. Ansah was rehabbing and couldn't lift or do much all offseason and into the season. Heck add poor Collier to the mix who got hurt early and missed so much time fo a rook.

These last 6 games could be domination. My hopeful interpretation anyway.

Agree with this post. By the way, what is the status with Collier?

My hope is that Ansah can put on the weight he's missing during the bye and surprise us all when we return to action.

If I'm being honest I would almost rather see Shaqueem Griffin get Ansah's snaps

Did you see something from Ansah to indicate he may be ready to contribute?

Absolutely nothing, but he was rehabbing a serious injured shoulder surgeryl and couldn't do a thing. He was fighting an uphill battle. Even when he signed I remember talk of him not being ready until the end of the season and hoping he could help a late push to the playoffs.

That is why I put a ? after Ansah.

Ansah did have good productivity when he was healthy, dude got what it takes to play at pro bowl level and did not have a record of being injury prone. He should still have a few productive season in him, I believe he is not 100% back from his shoulder injury.

I wouldn't mind to sign him for next year if the price is right. IF he could one day totally back to his former self, Ansah, Clowney and Reed could be wonderful.

Listening to Clayton the other day, he did not sound worried about Ansah at all. Said the team knew he was a "December signing". Perhaps he's on his way and the patience will pay off.

I"m still curious, did they do something with Clowney to make him so effective like change his position on the line?

They moved him to LEO. Even still, he was against Staley much of the night and the replays were unreal. He was winning within 1-2 every single snap.

Little random, sorry, had a brief moment there picturing Clowney on the same line with Tez, and I say that because there are SOME characteristics they share. But Tez was the biggest monster I will ever see.

Raibs on the radio back in '92 (on youtube but didn't want to fully derail this guy's thread) "... Just another day at work for Cortez Kennedy, but that's why this guy's so good, because he just disrupts things at the line of scrimmage.."

Hope Ansah can get right, i just don't see Quem being the answer there. Also wouldn't hurt my feeling to kick the tires on a Shane Ray/Nick Perry at least bring them in and work them out.

All I know is that we saw the D play their best game of the year, period. Against a supposedly unbeatable team. Were it not for a couple ridiculous calls, they win that game going away. Especially the BLATANT facemask on Russ, that magically gets ignored and hands them a TD to keep the game close. Instead of an automatic 1st down, up 11 with all the momentum and the running game working, they somehow are right back in it.
That pass rush was on point all night, and shoot, the D in general was $.

Carroll has mentioned Collier will most likely be shutdown this year for the most part.
Ansah needs to be shut down instead
