I agree this is criticizing the outcome and not the call, because it is 100% certain there would be no complaints if Russ had kept it and run for a first. Credit a very good Rams defense on that play and their players for being on it. On balance, I felt Russ did a great job tonight with adjustments at the line and checking to the right plays. That was also the first thing Pete praised him for in the press conference.

Just accept the one or two times it goes poorly every game in exchange for the 10+ times he turns nothing into something.
