RB options?

I will be interested to see how K9 does in KC. They do a lot of quick passes out of the backfield to get the RB in space -- which may turn out well for Walker. He can make guys miss, but doesn't run with power and break tackles.

Not knowing the new OC we will see what the character of his offense is, but so far MM has favored the physical, shove-it-down-your-throat style offense that keeps the chains moving and burns clock. It is the style of offense that complements this suffocating defense.

Pacheco would have been a good fit in that mold, but then again Holani, Akers, Wright, and Jones all fit that mold as well.

K9 was more of a finesse back to me, and while it was exciting when he broke into the open for a big gainer, I didn't like the NG, NG, NG, punts that preceded it.

I'm going to guess JS has his eyes on some RB in the draft class. A weak draft class doesn't necessarily mean anything to JS who seems to play by his own rules.

I was wondering yesterday about the availability of Rachaad White now that the Bucs signed Gainwell to go with Irving. I figured he might get released but I thought I read this morning that he's an FA. Not overly exciting but a vet that might be cheap to hold the fort until Charbs is ready

I get building through the draft and while we have a bunch of RB options, I just don't think you can trust going into the season with Holani, McIntosh, Wright and the rest of the stable due to either inexperience or injury history. Especially with how the team offense is designed. If we don't sign someone then I guess the staff is comfortable with what they have seen and we shall see how it goes.
Watch Schneider make a trade. Make it happen captain

Mentally, let Charbs go, he isn't coming back until (at best) late playoffs.

It's to early to freak out about any position, but a fair crash out would be for the Running Backs.

For 2026, Walker and Charbs are gone. Who is left? 3.3 yards a carry Holani? Jones and Wright have a total combined carries of 9.

It's time to get serious about getting some outside help. The only real ugly move would be if the Seahawks trade for an RB that's about the same as Walker and cost the same.

I’m glad you’re not my boss.. nothing like a good old “f-u” to the guys who have been groomed for this moment.

But thank for your not the GM either otherwise we’d be broke without a Lombardi leaving Seattle. Because the rest of your post is hilarious

“It’s too early to freak out” while throwing the rest of the RB room under the bus and and wanting Something equal to Walker for the same pay?! Roflmao

I posted this in the CFB forum, but draft-wise, my two favorite RB's I think Seattle can get later on, are Nick Singleton & J'Mari Taylor.
Singleton took a step back this year. PSU fans were begging for them to stop giving him the ball.

At this point, I'd rather just run with our guys and a draftee or guy brought in via trade at a later date than any of these remaining FA's.

Rachaad White is a good 3rd down back. He is terrible at being the main back though.
So if we make Charbonnet the main RB and White our third down back at a cheap price I would be fine with that.

Obviously, they aren't getting Love. But after that there are a few guys who could start for us. Really depends on the desired style, but here's some names to go check highlights on that we can get between rounds 1-3.
1 Emmitt Johnson, NEB
2 Mike Washington, ARK
3 jadarian Price ND
4 Jonah Coleman WAS

I think by now, dot net, should be trusting the guys Schneider drafts.

Schneider’s drafts have been absolute gold since PC left!

Yeah, there are definitely some intriguing RBs in this draft, IDK if I would say it's a really weak class.

Also like these guys:
Jam Miller, Alabama
Roman Hemby, Indiana

I've heard that. But he has had 2 thousand yard seasons with PSU, and I'm "betting" that with better coaching, he can return to form.

I don't have a full grasp of the RB class this year though, I just mentioned him for his outside running ability. I think it's best for the team to have a complementary RB room, so I mainly want someone who's quick and shifty enough to be the lightning to Charbs' thunder.

From all the pundits out there, this is a lousy RB draft class.

It's probably why FA RB's were so sought out.that could be another indication that a lot of GM's feel other than Love, it's a bad draft class for RB's.

Might be worth seeing how much tread Aaron Jones has left on those tires too as long as you're not relying on him to be your feature back. He was cut so won't count against Comp picks too.

I think we acquire Tucker.

(though Aaron Jones wouldn't be a bad 1-year tryout)

Imagine if Jadarian Price was somehow...some way....still there at #32.

I mean...you would have to take him, right? LOL

I don't see a lot of RB's taken in the first round, we will have a choice of the next in lines if we want it, K9 was a second rounder. there are 5 or 6 that would be a good fit, not guys that will start out as headliners, but guys that fit the change of pace and are tough runners.

We've done pretty well picking RBs in the 2d round lately. Our #32 is probably worth a mid #2 and a #4/5 or so.
