If I remember right, and at 54 years young sometime it ain't easy. But as stated above when Jack (no water at practice in the Cheney T.C. Heat) Patera was let go, Mike took over for the last 9 games and did go 5-4. And then was instramental in getting Ground Chuck (Knox) to leave the Bills or Rams (not sure anymore which way Chucks history ran he Coached Both but I can't remember at the moment in what order, I will about 2 am, I'll wake up and say Damn thats right) Back to the point:
Today we lost a big part of our Seahawks History. One of our founding fathers if you will. And If I remember right a HOF Member. A Gold Jacket Guy.

RIP Mike, Prayers to your family and friends, We hope to bring a Lombardi home in Febuary, Not just for the current cast, But for all that came before and wore Hawk Blue. Will miss you Mike,The 12th Man Nation...

I had the good fortune to meet him once at a function in Cheney. High quality
man responsible in a large way for the Seahawks early success, both as interim
coach and GM.

It should also be noted that in his day he was a hall of fame offensive tackle.
