Quinn has an impressive resume and works so well with defensive lineman. His stint here is when Bryant was moved on the line and set him up for further success.

He should not go to the Browns, coaching carousel is not good for the career. Vikings, Tampa Bay, and lions are jobs he may land if he decides to leave. I hope he doesn't.

I love that Pete is open about letting his coaches look for other jobs. It helps make other coaches want to come here.

However, I hate that the NFL allows teams to contact our guys during the playoffs. I think this was a huge distraction to Bradley last year.

Teams can only contact coaches that are still on teams in the playoffs if they are given permission by that team. If Quinn is interviewing with the Browns it is because Carroll and Schneider gave the Browns permission to do so. Some organizations allow it as a sign of good faith with their coaches, and some do not.

PC lets his coaches do this because of when he was an assistant in Minnesota and they wouldn't let him interview for another job.
He remembered how shitty it felt. He said "shitty" in his book . Kick ass forever. Read it.

Im thinking the same thing, why go to a team that is obviously ran so horribly? He'd be looking for a new home within a year or two.
I thought the same thing when Bradley left.

I'd hate to see what DQ can do with the Detroit defense. Of course there is probably not a worse place to live in the entire country than Detroit Michigan.

I was figuring Bevell would have gotten an interview first. Not sure why the Browns would fire Chud and then go with a DC who just went through a single season in the role. I know he had time with the Jets and (Lions?), so Lombardi and Banner probably have experience with him.

They could also just want his view of their current roster. Would probably get them Bennett as well, though Desmond Bryant was having a heck of a season until he got hurt.

Funny, from everything I've heard from Clayton and nfl.com, Cleveland was looking for an offensive minded coach. They didn't have problems with their defense, it was the offense. Not much you can do with those QBs.

I have to think that Quinn will interview for the experience of the process. Cleveland repeatedly said they were in this for the long run, traded their starting RB away, traded a couple other player away for picks, then turns around and fires Chud an hour after the last game. Didn't even wait for Black Monday. Most of the NFL thinks it's pretty messed up and the players are mostly pissed off about it.

I have to think Cleveland is the worst coaching gig out there right now. I don't see Quinn jumping on this.

I read that three places may be interested in Quinn and two minimum in Bevell, Browns Vikings and Dallas for Quinn, now there may be others as well. Bevell has been listed as a candidate all season and he has some good stats for our offense. Possibly Washington and Houston at one point were hard rumoured and I think Detroit and Tampa are also looking for a offensive guy. I would really like to hold on to Quinn as well. Remember Cable doesn't call the plays but is just about as involved in the offense as Bevell, both under the direction of Pete's parameters I think as well.
