Nearly every, if not all Flynn supporters pretty much owned up to their shortsighted view (pun intended). Myself? I was a Flynn nonbeliever from the start and was absolutely convinced that Wilson was a franchise quarterback after I saw him live versus Kansas City. You can check my post history if you like.

I, too, was a believer after seeing the KC game in preseason. He just did not look like a rookie at all. I was already buying into the hype from the Gruden QB camp video, in addition to all the college footage I saw, but that preseason game versus KC was where I knew he was legit. He played with a certain flash, a confident panache, that was just not there with Flynn.

Watching his rookie season unfold was a dream come true and a major breath of fresh air. In his rookie season, we were treated to the best QB play from any Hawk QB, ever. Despite being glued to the screen during his games, I couldn't help thinking that we were just seeing the tip of the iceberg.
It sure was I can't wait for September 8th after we beat Carolina and erase our road issues for good. What has me especially excited is that in the NFL the second year is usually the biggest jump in a player's career and only then do you have a more than solid idea of their future trajectory. Strap in honey because I am thinking 35/7 TD to Int ratio this year.

I wouldn't trade Wilson for anybody , But for Wilson to be ranked 12th? That's FINE with me.

not sure why some people get angry over those things but then again that's why these lists are made.

You honestly wouldn't straight up trade Andrew Luck for Wilson? Just imagine what Luck could do with those WRs and that defense... It would be incredible to see.

Not only NO, but HELL NO!

Luck isn't half the student to the game that Russell Wilson has PROVEN to be, AND Wilson eats, breathes, and lives to be the entire package QB.
Luck to Wilson?, he's Taller, and that is all.
I'd take Wilson over Luck, RG3, or Newton, any day of the week, Month, Year.
Wilson adds an extra element that none of these guys can, and not even Kaepernick has that "IT" factor.
You go on and dream about Luck, or whomever :177692: , but the Seahawks have struck GOLD, with Russell Wilson, and I couldn't be happier.

I like the way you think. I do expect Russ to throw a couple more INTs this year if only because he's going to be throwing more frequently, but I'm in complete agreement that 35 TDs is feasible. Then again, we may be running a lot due to early leads, which will suppress his stats somewhat. At any rate, I can't wait for some football!! Until preseason starts, this agonizing month is going to be the death of me.

This may not matter to you but I found out NFLN is showing every preseason game. That's phenomenal for a Seahawk fangirl like myself living in deep red AFC Chief Country like myself. :)

As just a casual, internet following fan, I have a hard time even thinking of the 11 remaining qbs who haven't been mentioned yet, let alone 11 qbs I would think would rank above Wilson. Even some of the qbs I would rank above wilsonare listed below him. Anybody wanna help a brother out and list the qbs still left to be ranked?

Some of you guys are funny... yes Wilson is really good, but assuming that Luck doesn't put in the time compared to Wilson is both silly and completely uniformed. Luck is a total football junkie and has been the most 'sure-fire, can't-miss' prospect since Peyton / Elway. Those guys had pretty good careers and I completely expect Luck to have the same.

Will Wilson have a better career than Luck... debatable at this point, it'll come down to injuries.

But if you were to ask me which QBs I'd take over Kaep, there's only 2 considering age / longetivity / injury history as well as physical / mental prowess:

Luck and Rodgers

I think Kaep / Wilson / RGIII are all in good situations and probably wouldn't be as successful in other schemes. Plus I see those 3 guys as pretty similar with differing positives and negatives. But with Luck and to a lesser extent Rodgers, you can expect 10+ years of 10+ wins. That's as good as it gets. I mean, the Colts are a very marginal team minus Luck, and will only retool and get better. I think it's funny that a lot of you think winning in INDY will be a piece of cake... Good luck! I'm glad we play them at home.

He wouldn't have to be CLUTCH if he didn't put his team in the hole in the first place. Everyone loves the feel good story of the comeback (and the Wilson led comeback against the Patriots was far more impressive than any of Luck's comebacks and maybe all of them combined), but I'll take the QB who's good all 4 quarters any day of the week.

Switch their defenses and imagine the result

Our defense would have given up a lot more points because of the bad field position they'd be constantly put in.

That was always the Alex Smith argument. You're not contending that Wilson is a game manager, are you?

Does Russell Wilson turn the ball over a lot?
I want you opinion on how you think luck would do, with a better D, hence more Time of Possession. And not need the comebacks.

Wow. I can't believe you got me, there. I totally wasn't pointing out that Luck's nearly 2 turnover rate a game was bad for his team, and as such, I'd prefer to have Wilson dink and dunk.

Oh, wait, that's right, Wilson had a better YPA AND far fewer turnovers, making him a far greater asset to the team than Luck would have been. You can't seriously be that dense.
