Naw, Ware is more unique than the typical big lumbering fullback(has speed, good receiver, better as a RB at the moment) and Coleman is more like the HB/FB that Cable likes and both brings a different skill set then Ware. I do think if Harvin comes back or after Bruce returns one might get waived.

That could very well be the case, with them just extending the competition for starting FB into the regular season.

Glad to see Snead, Silaga and Brooks there.

Not surprised about Helfelt over Fells. For all the talk about Fells' upside, people forget he's a 27 year old rookie with little to no Football experience. With just two TE's on the roster Helfelt represents a pro ready addition with knowledge of the offense who can hang around Renton and be ready for a callup in the event of injury.

Really glad both Shead and Brooks made it. I thought at least one of them would have been claimed. Nice to see local guy Walters on there as well.

Walters looked pretty good last Thursday. He just hadn't had a lot of playing time, so I'm glad we kept him, too.

I agree.

Very happy to see Brooks make it. He's the most promising player I've ever seen make our PS.

Helfet over Fells is a surprise, but Seattle's coaches have done a great job in the past correcting drop issues and Helfet definitely could use some coaching in that aspect. I'm sure Seattle will do musical chairs on the PS this year again, so don't be shocked if Fells makes an appearance later.

Powell is a no-brainer. My guess is that he moves to SAM LB next season. We are jammed at LB, but Powell is too talented to not keep around.

Seymour didn't show much in the preseason but was a solid college guard who played against SEC opponents. I think Seymour is the new Moffitt.

I was a little surprised that Shead didn't make the final roster. He looks the part physically and had a good preseason. He must really be flying under the radar to not make another team's roster.

Siliga is already at his upside and is very much a fringe NFL player overall but regardless, he's a useful run clogger. Seattle has some injury worries at DT so keeping him around as emergency depth is smart.

Jared Smith improved as the preseason went along and flashed very good speed when attacking the 2nd level in the run game. I wouldn't be surprised if the Seahawks outright ditch Jeanpierre next offseason to roll with Fat Rabbit as the new backup center in a year's time.

Bryan Walters kind of surprises me. He had a solid 4th preseason game but I thought he was probably behind Clark and Ashford for the preseason as a whole.

I can't decide if I am overvaluing or undervaluing Lemuel Jeanpierre. With all the injuries around the league, I expected to hear of some outside interest in Jeanpierre .... didn't happen. Then again, maybe we just don't have an option for a backup center at this time.

I read something earlier on Seattle Times blog.....Emergancy QB?

Kam Chancellor baby! I guess he was recruited as a QB. Josh Portis? Jerrod Johnson? Who were the back ups in Minny during the TJack era?

We'll go with 2 qbs, just like last year.

The Josh Portis ship has sailed. Move on.

Ware impressed me with his running ability during preseason. It just seems like Turbin goes down from ankle tackles a little too much.
My guess is that Lotulelei is such a demon on Special Teams that it factored into keeping him. He is a raw heat-seeking-missile of a player. Between that and the flying hair, it gives the appearance he's flying around and doing a lot. Maybe Head and Shoulders intervened as a sponsor and laid down the law to keep him in the league, what with all the miles Polamalu has on him.
