Jordan Palmer working with both Darnold and Milroe seems to me like a very convenient arrangement. Why not just put Jordan on the coaching staff?
Palmer isn't just a QB coach, he's THE QB coach. I doubt he would want a staff job at this point. He has become incredibly successful doing private work. His client list includes Mahomes, Allen, and Burrow. As down as I am on Milroe's future here, he's working with the right guy.

If anyone can turn Milroe into a bonafide Starting QB, it's this guy.

Milroe is way too raw right now.

If Sam gets injured, Drew Lock is our QB.

Let's not talk any of that into reality, okay? 😬
I don’t think that is necessarily true. They may set up some RPO-type plays for him in special situations. Lock will be the backup on Day-1, but his hold on that status is fragile based on past performance. If he comes in and screws up a couple games knocking us out of the playoffs, Milroe might get his shot. With Darnold, it’s more about the money. He has to live up to his $100 million contract.

They already said he will play 10% of the snaps
I belive the quote was that Darnold will get 90% of the snaps. My 1st thought when coach Mike said that was he is saying 90% of the snaps/reps during practice, and the backups get the other 10% with the starters.

It would be unusual game planning 1 week into training camp, let alone promising play time to a rookie.
