Lamar Jackson won an NFL MVP in a season he wasn't the best passer. He won it because he could rush for 1000+ yards. Milroe is in the same mold. Hopefully his career ends up on the same trajectory as Jackson's has.

Jackson was a better pure passer in college though but Milroe needs some refinement. As for the T. Hill comparisons well Milroe actually has the tools to be a starting QB in the NFL while Hill did not.

This is a classic JS pick where he is flooding the QB position when you do not have a clear cut answer at QB.

Just now saw this after being away all day. Wow. I was hoping they would take a risk, but I wasn't expecting this. To me, this is a fairly low risk/high reward pick that will probably take a couple years to bloom. If he's not thrown to the wolves too soon, this could end up being the next Jalen Hurts. Imagine him doing the west coast tush push. I'm down. Glad they finally rolled the dice! About freaking time! Go Hawks!!

Wasted pick. JS could've gotten Jared Wilson and this Draft would be an A+. I think JS outsmarted himself here.
QBs that could “run.”

Seattle was interested enough to go check out Mahomes and Josh Allen’s Pro Day (and that pissed off Wilson). Remember Anthony Richardson, Seattle, JS, also liked Richardson, hell, I’m sure JS, considered Lamar Jackson as well.

JS was not going to pass up on Milroe in Round 3.

Athletically, Milroe, can go 0-100, real quick! And Milroe is BUILT like a TANK!

yessir! Me too!! Every pick has a risk attached with it and people are acting like we are not getting any positives with Milroe!

Gotta take some shots somewhere. This was one of those shots.

No…it doesn’t help us win NOW but, you have to continue building the foundation…

I’m digging this pick.

I get that too! But, it seems Seattle is giving a few more chances to Olutimi to see if he can improve and be that guy.

If Seattle was absolutely done with Olu, they probably would have drafted a Center by now??

Maybe tomorrow, they will try for one??

There's not gonna be another Brady. You're not going to find a HOFQB in the 5th or 6th. If you think a QB has any chance of becoming something, you gotta overdraft. Just like O line.

Olu hasn’t even had enough time to judge him fairly. For all the people screaming about Wilson being the best center in the draft, Olu was the best center in the nation when we selected him and has the trophy to prove it.

Relax..

I agree he could pay off similarly to a former third-round QB of ours. That's where we took Brock Huard and David Greene.

I wanted either him or Wilson there and was hoping for him simply for the potential for him to turn into something great. He gets to sit for a year or 2 to learn and refine his abilities and likely be used in certain packages. If he doesn't pan out then you wasted a 3rd round pick that you got for an aging QB you didn't really want anymore. His stats from 2023 were pretty solid as well.

Typical .net stuff. Clamor endlessly for a QB in the draft and whine and complain when they pick one.
This was the worst draft for QB's in a decade. I wasn't clamoring for anyone; I just didn't want them to take one guy. They wasted a 3rd rounder on a dude that has so many holes in his game. To say this guy has major accuracy issues would be kind. he will throw a 40 yard dime and then the next 4 passes are in the dirt. It would be one thing if he could read defenses and was a quick processor. He's the opposite. Hard to be an NFL QB when you sucked as a college QB.
