The 33-year-old third baseman hit 10 homers in 90 at-bats in the month, posting a .333/.398/.733 slash line (1.131 OPS). He raised his OPS from .589 on June 28 to .724 on July 31. “I never give up — never never ever,” he told reporters after Tuesday’s game. “I just work hard every day.”
