Hmmm. Not sure if you are just generally ranting or directing at what I posted or even disagreeing with coach. I stand by my comments and PC that it's ok to have an opinion. I thought PC did a great job of mentioning factors in the ebb and flow of the game that led to the outcome. Unless I missed something, he never said it was "one-sided" and no mention of conspiracy in this post whatsoever. That drama isn't needed in this thread. Just talking about the game. Things happened. Questions are being asked and, I think, good and fair enough answers were given by Pete. I love how he leads this team. He is also happy to not skirt the tough questions of the press. He handled it all admirably, in my estimation. Please don't assume I'm saying something else, if that is the case.
You wrote "I think the NFL called it that way to keep the Colts in the game at home". If thats not a conspiracy theory I don't know what is. Not as bad as the NFL purposely turning the lights out in last years SB but along those lines. Whatever the case we had plenty of chances and did not capitalize. We are all friends here so here's a "Go Hawks" to you and everyone else.
Ah, ok. I see where you got your material for that comment. Nah, I didn't mean it exactly that way and I appreciate you granting me at least a bit of the benefit of doubt. I'll admit that I don't know for certain if the NFL is COMPLETELY on the up and up. I'll leave it at that because I like to think that it is and watch games as if it is.
I generally agree with much of what you said. Just had to get clarification on what seemed like a response that missed the main point of my post. I'll say this, though... it's entertainment. How entertaining is it in a game that was built up so much to have the home team being blown out in the 1st quarter? Pete Carroll is adamant that it was a TD and laughed it off that something was up there. I think the length of time it took to give the decision on that gave even more reason to at least wonder a bit. But, not to launch out a campaign for a conspiracy.
I just think those things happen. Too, mistakes happen and sometimes we hear of "make up calls" for mistakes to balance it out. When "make up calls" don't happen... teams and fans tend to wonder if the game was called "both ways" as they say. Not on the same level, but I've been on the sidelines each Saturday recently and lots of funny business goes on. We're a bit too naive if we think otherwise. You wouldn't believe some of the things that go on. If I told you, you might call me out for a conspiracy theory.
Yeah, Go Hawks. We can all agree on that.
