I have a couple of observations from tonight's game that are pure speculation. I welcome any observations whether in agreement or opposition.

Here goes...

Geno Smith seemed "off" tonight. Mentally. Like something was bothering him .
Of course we can point to interceptions , as there were too many and at the wrong time. The last one broke our back and appeared to be a horrible decision. I don't know the stats but he repeatedly targeted DK even when he was double and triple covered.

Did anyone else pick up the audio when he was yelling at his teammates? He said something like " what the **** are you doing?" He also looked subdued , like his mind was elsewhere.

I've defended Geno Smith quite a bit here , and while he didn't get sacked a lot , he was pressured massively and it affected his passing . He usually isn't this inaccurate.

Did anyone notice DK on the sidelines with the phone up to the booth ? He was yelling at whom I presume was Ryan Grubb. If you were the coach , how would you react ?

I think there is some unrest in the offensive side of the ball.

Defense :

We can't expect Seattle to be successful if they can't put pressure on the QB. They didnt sniff Dirk Diggler tonight. Just imagine if they could've gotten one , maybe two 3rd down sacks. Might've been a different outcome .

These LBers did not look good. Are they injured ? They got our ran , beat , leveraged all night .

That's all I have ( for now ) as I have a big day tomorrow. I hope everyone can relax and understand this will be a process. Maybe a 2-3 year process . I'm in for the long haul .

Go Hawks

Geno was on the bench banging his head repeatedly with a tablet like a psycho. This team has no leader.

DK pouting and sulking like a baby. Geno cursing out his teammates after throwing two horrible interceptions, and Mike MacDonald giving lip service in the post game press conference saying "We have the guys we need in the building". No. You clearly don't.

This team feels like I'm watching the Jim Mora disaster all over again. The Niners averaged almost 7 yards per carry with back up running backs. That's nuts.

Once again we force no turnovers and get destroyed in time of possession. It's just ugly all across the board. This team feels like a sinking ship and I don't see players that have bought in. I see players who have given up and blame is flying all over the place.

What is our identity? Every phase of our game is shit. Offense is trash. Defense is trash. Special Teams is trash.

We had zero sacks and our pro bowl safety took one of the worst angles and gave up a 70+ yard TD on one of the worst plays I've ever seen.

If the team looks this bad against Atlanta it's only gonna get worse.

DK's diva antics are starting to get old. Especially with all his drops and turnovers. He's in no position to be yelling at any player or coach. Did the tantrums lead to Geno feeling like he needed to force feed the ball into triple coverage?

Shades of the Rams pick-6 in the playoffs when Russ tried to force a bubble screen to DK.

DK failure plays are arguably responsible for the last two losses. Red zone fumble vs Giants, and causing the pick vs the 49ers by crossing up Geno and turning the route upfield and deep. Pick instead of moving a go-ahead drive forward with a first-down.

DK is also our most dangerous player. Live by the sword, die by the sword. He'll also be our best player against the best teams.

The dynamic isn't quite right.
Explain? I think you might be on to something.

Geno as a veteran didn't look like a leader . To me anyway.
Does DK flourish in a different situation? Different QB.

DK is supposed to be one of the "main guys". I don't see it

Compare with Lockett, it feels smooth, seamless. They have good chemistry.

DK, even with RW, often forced, not seamless, not smooth. Boom or bust. Made worse when DK gets emotional.

Just an observation.

Hell yeah.

That's a great observation. I think DK and his antics are holding the team back. The flow and chemistry with the other receivers.

There it is.

I couldn't put my finger on it but there was an eerie reminiscence going on. I hope this gets figured out, and I mean now, or we're going to start wondering if MM was the right hire.

Ahhhh there's my soul fish brother !! 😆
Today, it's pissed off fish. grr and stuff

Geno and DK need to to gtf over themselves right now. Lose the body language and the tantrums. Geno in his presser, wow. That did NOT look like a leader, imo.
If they can get something for him in a trade, just do it. Esp before the value drops. Love the guy, was at the game, so I didn't see all the stuff people are talking about. But, I got enough messages to know he was being a whiney bi*** on the sidelines. Never thought I'd say it but trade his a**. It might be time. I said what I said.

-- I would take a team of DKs all day long and twice on Sundays. Toughness, fight, desire. WRs can be a bit Diva, not a shock, but if you think this team is better without him, absurd. Would I prefer he keeps his emotions in check better, of course. Less fumbles, of course. He is the number one player defenses focus on when they play us, and yet in just about every game he has broken those defenses down for what should be a bomb TD every time. He did it twice last night, one killed by penalty and the other killed by a QB who still plays scared when the lights get bright. DK might be noisy, but he is not the reason this team is losing these games.

Who said the team is better without him? He's obviously a hell of a player. I've always been a huge DK fan. But IF a team offers a good deal, they better damn well listen.

He definitely doesn't respond well to criticism. I don't think he's coachable TBH.

ADB was a passionate player with nowhere near the physical talent level. But he was light years ahead as far as his mindset. When it came time to deliver in the big games, ADB always did.

I'm getting Aaron Curry vibes from Murphy II. Not an attitude thing or anything. Just have a bad feeling he is injury prone.
