It's on to the Commanders. Throw this out in the trash and move on.
Just speculatin' here, It could be that Maybe Jodi Allen has faith in Pete Carroll because it was him who brought home the Seahawks first Lombardi for her Big Brother Paul to hoist up?Why should he do such a thing? He does his thing and don’t give a shit because nobody tells him otherwise. Ownership should care about winning, but all they care about is filling seats and TV $ streams. Nothing is going to change until we get an owner that wats to win, not make money.
Of course, this assessment is full of assumptions, but that is how it feels

I was more thinking about the Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde nature of Krieg, which is very similar to Geno. When Dave was on, he was among the best in the league. When he was cold, holy sh*t he was awful.Except for Krieg could be damn good when he was on, and won a lot of games. Dude passed for 38 thousand yards and had 261 touchdown passes.
Bad comparison, Geno has never been at the Dave Krieg level.
Agreed.I'm starting to wonder if Waldron has a future beyind this year if this BS continues. I honestly see him as a 3nd in command to a more seasoned, strategy oriented OC. The guy who helps conceives the plays and strategy, but isn't responsible for the chess game that pkays out on Sundays. Kind of like he was with the Rams.
It really does feel like he's trying too hard to look like the next play design genius instead of just focusing on situational play calling.
He's like the magician who tries to hide the fact that his trick is really basic, by waving is hands around all over the place, popping smoke and yelling Abrakadabra over and over. There's too much flourish and not enough substance.
I also wonder if Pete is extending too much runway to the guy in an effort to clear his own name from those who labeled him a 'grind it out', ground and pound dinosaur of an offensive strategist. And, that he's maybe asking that the offense be based too much on play action. PA is good when you have a running game to play off of. Wr look like the idiot magician when the running game isn't working, and there isn't anything Geno or any other qb can do about it.
It only turned into 37 after 3 quarters of zero offense completely gassed the defense out. At a certain point, human nature plays a part and they were just trying to finish the game and get the hell out of there. Defense gave them several short fields, turnovers, and punts just to have to get right back on the field and face an offense that actually had a planWhen you lose 14-3, blaming the offense and especially the QB makes sense. Maybe even 21-3.
37-3 losses means everyone takes the blame.
Nobody did a good enough job yesterday.
Yep. It's about time for PC to fire another OC as a scapegoat. 10 years and how many (?) OCs later and it's been the same shot all along. Maybe it has little or nothing to do with the OC flavor of the month? I don't know.I'm starting to wonder if Waldron has a future beyind this year if this BS continues. I hope he has a chapter on this in a post-retirement book.Yep , that's always been a Pete Carroll maneuver. He won't hang anyone out to dry , especially the quarterback.
If only Pete could figure it out when he faces McVay. Guess we will see in a couple weeks.Agreed.
It also feels like the league has figured out the McVay-style motion offense. Outside of Minnesota, none of the teams running a variation of that scheme are doing well offensively.
And i dont know what Geno can do to offset some of the poor playcalls and route designs coming in. Philosophically, we have zero identity. We dont run enough, and we can block long enough for our passing game to get uncorked. Meanwhile, we keep going to the well on long developing PA plays and bubble screens. TE use whicj was a staple last year for a stretch and highly successful against Detroit - non existent. Geno, in addition to making untimely errors, is also just not the guy to scramble around and create on his own. If the playcall is garbage, He MIGHT make something of it, but usually its just a lost play or worse, he tries to push the ball to a rook or presses in general and turns it over. If Shane cant call a better game, we arent going anywhere. Geno will execute the plays given, for better or worse.
If that were truly the case, I feel like we would have seen a lot more of the run game so far. When Shotty first got here, Pete had to get involved because he was going to pass heavy and wasn't giving results. Waldron, on the other hand, has a tendency to abandon the run early, which is.pretty much anti-Pete.I guess i'll open pandoras box here, but this has been going on for eons with Pete Carroll. Its convenient that the OC gets the blame, but the age old question of how much is Pete influencing the offense needs to be addressed again. How many OC's does the team need to go through with the same exact issues every season before the lightbulb lights up? Shotty at least rebelled some before he was let go for it. The same thing every single year happens over and over. That should be a simple deduction of reasoning to know the answer why. Its the reason i've been saying the team will never see the Super Bowl again under Pete Carroll unless he has all-pro's at every position and he'll never have that again.
I agree that Pete loves the PA game. I'll also agree that he likes to limit turnovers. But the 'it's Pete's doing' is a lazy, emotion based deduction.I guess i'll open pandoras box here, but this has been going on for eons with Pete Carroll.
