After watching it a couple of times now..I feel like he wanted to dig out Russ more but being
‘politically correct’ he did the rah rah we were holding for a comeback blah blah..obv a head coach won’t call out their QB but that’s two games now Pete can see Russ hasn’t been on it..does he just end up saying..our QB has to play better!?

Pete needs called out. I saw Vrabel’s presser today after their loss to the Browns and loved it. Called out everyone. So tired of Pete and his Rah rah shit. Hope he rides off soon... five more years and I’ll be a tennis fan.

I love what Pete has done for this organization. But his in game coaching has been killing us for years. Especially in the time out usage/clock management department. Why the hell did he call that time out on the Giants's field goal in the 4th quarter???

Pete needs to give up game management to somebody half his age.

1:48 left and 2 t.o. And a chance to win. What exactly was the mismanagement issue?

Was just another needlessly wasted time out.

Well do you think it was Pete’s fault or maybe someone on the field screwed up. It was one T.O. that they didn’t end up needing....oh nooooooo

It pissed me off the Pete didn’t go for that 55 yard field goal, it would’ve made it so we only needed a field goal to win it at the end of the game. We have one of the best kickers in the NFL!!!

That was a tough call. I think it was facing the north EZ and they seem to avoid long kicks that direction.

There was also a pass to Dissly that was completed/dead with 1:11 left on the clock. Pete decided to call a timeout at 1:04. It's mind blowingly frustrated to see such gross incompetence with such regularity.

Or maybe he is using Wilson as a scape goat for his own incompetence for changing the offensive scheme after game 5.

Yeah. Weeks 1-5 was a quick pass, short drop back, uptempo, spread the ball around offense. Now it’s slow rolling, long developing plays, 7 step drops, outside the hash plays. Something changed after that. The offense began sputtering. I’m tired of hearing people claim that Pete is a coach that doesn’t throw people under the bus, blah blah blah. He constantly tells us that it’s on the players for not executing. He needs to start holding his coaches and himself accountable rather than saying the coaches are doing great but the players aren’t doing their jobs. He’s said stuff this year that proves it’s a coaching issue. He didn’t know why Dunbar was playing so far off the line, didn’t know the Bills wouldn’t run the ball (also didn’t adjust when they went pass heavy), etc. He and his coaches are as much to blame as any player. Period.

With all due respect, why was the timeout called? We’re there only 10 men on the field? We’re there 12 men on the field?
Who cares either way, as it was a very makable FG either way in the middle of the game. You are correct it didn’t affect the outcome of the game, but stupid mistakes like that cost teams games often.

Elimination of coaching mistakes increases chances of winning in the overall big picture.
They are just as damaging as execution mistakes on the field by the players.

Joe Judge is a former special teams coach with the Patriots. Earlier this year against the Cowboys the giants lined up for a field goal and executed a TD if not for a penalty against them. It was actually a really good looking play. Maybe Pete called that time out to get everyone on the idea it might be a fake since it was only 4th and 1 and a conversion would have been killer.

Pete’s washed and as much as it’s hard to believe “has lost this team.”

Couple of things Pete said:
1. Chunk plays weren't there
2. Carson was used alternatively with Hyde.
Implying that Carson is on a pitch count.

This tells me that our game plan is to throw deep and throw deep some more....regardless. We have no other game plan.
No matter how well Carson is running we're going to use him part time, whether it costs us the game or not.

This is a lot of the issue. The seahawks play offense the way I used to play Madden. Take 30 sacks a game just to get 4 big plays off a play action , 'all-go' rout. Nada in between, despite the fact that 75% of the time what we call has 10% chance of working. Its flat out disgusting, because the plan the Giants used yesterday ain't a whole lot different than the one the Vikings used to humiliate us for half the game. Only difference there was that they lost their feature back, and we were able to cash in on some timely turnovers.

Opposing defenses just drop back and wait for our receivers to run themselves into coverage. Would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.

And news flash, the NYJ, the WFT, and the rest of the teams we will see to close out the season have defenses that can do what the giants, vikings, cards, bills, and rams have done to us.

Its like instead of being hopeful that we can scheme our way out of this, literally our only hope is that we get enough guys back from injury to do what we are hell bent on doing every week, come hell or high water, cuz we aren't going to change a thing.

Bam. There it is. Just watching the game I saw they didnt use carson effectively. I didnt watch the presser. But your pretty spot on. The problem is...when something is not working are they going to scheme for something to work or just continue rolling out plays the defense can obviously unmask.

I wanted them to go for it too, but it actually was only a 1 point. I believe that was the drive where the D forced a 2 and out and got the safety. That decision actually came really close to turning into a TD.
