Couple of things Pete said:
1. Chunk plays weren't there
2. Carson was used alternatively with Hyde.
Implying that Carson is on a pitch count.
This tells me that our game plan is to throw deep and throw deep some more....regardless. We have no other game plan.
No matter how well Carson is running were going to use him part time, whether it costs us the game or not.
This is a lot of the issue. The seahawks play offense the way I used to play Madden. Take 30 sacks a game just to get 4 big plays off a play action , 'all-go' rout. Nada in between, despite the fact that 75% of the time what we call has 10% chance of working. Its flat out disgusting, because the plan the Giants used yesterday ain't a whole lot different than the one the Vikings used to humiliate us for half the game. Only difference there was that they lost their feature back, and we were able to cash in on some timely turnovers.
Opposing defenses just drop back and wait for our receivers to run themselves into coverage. Would be funny if it wasn't so depressing.
And news flash, the NYJ, the WFT, and the rest of the teams we will see to close out the season have defenses that can do what the giants, vikings, cards, bills, and rams have done to us.
Its like instead of being hopeful that we can scheme our way out of this, literally our only hope is that we get enough guys back from injury to do what we are hell bent on doing every week, come hell or high water, cuz we aren't going to change a thing.
