We need a proven pass rusher in case Clemons doesn't make the start of the year. It'll cost more to get a guy like Michael Johnson from Cincy.

So I think we should at least entertain this idea.

We have no idea what he'll be worth. This time last year Matt Flynn was getting Kevin Kolb money. Umenyiora is a 260lbs defensive end in his 30's. He didn't have a great 2012 season. But he might have some worth to us as a veteran stop gap for Clemons.

Not saying he'll come here for a cheese sandwich, but it's also not going to be a mega-money deal. He might appreciate joining a contender too for the final years of his career.
