Even though I would very much support the team not letting into the ROH, I think you kind of have to. He was too good, too important to the history of the team, and his falling out was from behind-the-scenes arrogant douchbaggery rather than criminal activity or being visibly toxic. If they don't let him in, they risk looking like the small guys and I doubt they want to deal with that.

I'd just let him in and make his ceremony on a random Sunday afternoon game against the Cards... when we play in AZ.

Not sure I'd be for the ROH, but allowing him to retire a hawk would be a classy move to acknowledge what he did before Jekyll turned to ME3 and no bother to me. If he never sets foot in the stadium again I'd be just fine as well.

There are several very reputable news organizations, like the USA Today, ESPN, and the New York Times, that have reported on this story. If you're going to discount them by calling them a "rumor", then all I can say is "WOW!"

Marshawn did retire as a Seahawk, coming back at the end of the 2019 season and playing in the playoffs.

This makes me chuckle. He was by far our best QB we've ever had. I hate that it ended sour but honestly he did us a favor because of his trade he got us another SB. SO yes he will be in the Ring of honor someday and yes he should retire a Seahawk with a 1 day contract. However, I do not think he belongs in the Hall of Fame.

That was my point. The allegations that RW tried to get Pete fired are more than just random rumors as you are suggesting. First of all, they were reported on by some very credible sources. Secondly, the fact that neither PC or JS has denied these allegations is evidence that they might be true, as is PC and RW's very chilly reunion when they met on the field in their first game after the trade. Two of the most hyper and gregarious personalities in the game and all we see is a cold handshake? WTF?

Point is that there's quite a bit of evidence one can point to that would support that conclusion, ie that RW tried to get Pete fired. Like the saying goes: Where there's smoke, there's fire.

I agree to Beastmode, but Wilson, nope. Wilson is a mouth breathing jizz bag who betrayed the team because he didn't get his way. I never liked Wilson and thought he was extremely overrated. Wilson needs to stay away from Lumen and go do high knee raises somewhere else.

There are things about RW to be grateful as a fan. But HE didn't want to be here in the end...and it ended badly IMHO. I don't wish to sound to vindictive.....but I for one ain't feeling it. When he left I was happy to see him go....VERY HAPPY about the trade. For me, in the simplest terms, it was "go away and stay away", and I still feel that way.

It's going to be a long time, perhaps not in his lifetime, before Russell can return to Seattle for a ROH induction and not get booed loudly. Even if it's a relatively small percentage, say like 30-40%, the boos are going to make it sound like it's every fan in the stands. The fans who dislike him are going to be lots more passionate than those like me who are relatively neutral about him.

It's not going to be in the team's best interest for that to happen.

Yeah, I think he does get into the ROH at some point, but I would guess he's probably the last of the LOB era guys who will. Aside from Schneider anyway, but that's a bit different.
