Sorry to hear that Seabowl, fingers crossed you get better sooner than later.
It's hitting home here in the Seattle area as well, big time. I know 2 musicians and their sign. other's who have it. A local guitarist died from it last week, really said. They all already had resp. issues so that didn't help. My friend Pat has had it 3 weeks, he's now in the hospital with Pneumonia in both lungs. Finally yesterday, he said his fever broke and he's starting to feel at least a little better.
Take care, and hopefully most people are able to stay home during this. It's legit.

Been hearing a lot of that, CV being connected to singers. There was that choir up in Shohomish IIRC that had several members succumb, and hearing of other singers getting it. Seems like the breathing you need to do while singing pulls the virus deeper into the lungs, perhaps. Makes me think that athletes are in a similar situation, as the physical exertion naturally leads to deep breathing. Sounds like group singing and sports are a good thing to avoid for now.

Best wishes all.

With the likely announcement that the bars won't open up until May 1, it's clearly for the best. We will be out 8 gigs, but at this point, that doesn't even matter.

No neighbors and lots of space to be busy in so all this social distancing stuff doesn't change anything for me. I consider myself very lucky in that respect. But here in my state the number of positive is growing rapidly so that is worrisome. Sure hope this this lets up sooner than later.

I just looked at your signature. Where in Nw Montana did you live? I'm in Kalispell.

Just got told there were two cases in my apt complex. Supposed to be quarantined in their rooms but they didn't tell us who.

Getting closer.

I used to live just outside Libby. Spent a lot of fun summer days playing tennis with friends in Kalispell. Relocated back to Kansas due to family emergency. Nice place I have here, but leaving Montana worst mistake I ever made.

Hey Seabowl! The Navy had me working the last 3 months at the nuke prototype near Ballston Spa, and I was staying at the Residence Inn at Saratoga Springs. I just escaped from NY (state) on the 1st, and now I'm doing house arrest (okay, quarantine) for 2 weeks before I can go back to work. Also before my wife will let me out of my man-cave. We had a swingshift guy there who caught it and infected 3 of his co-workers (as of when I left), but I seem to have avoided it. Have you used any of that prison hand sanitizer that is being made in one of the NY prisons? Holy crap, I'd rather get the plague than put that stuff on my hands ever again. I don't think it works from alcohol or anything, I think the smell kills the virus by pure disgust. As soon as it was available a gallon pump dispenser was stationed at every entrance of every building at the prototype site, and the smell quickly permeated every damn place there.

Getting out was an ordeal of continuously canceled flights, and as late as the morning of the 1st I still didn't know if I was flying or using my Hertz points to get a car for a week and driving back. (It's only 2890 miles!)

Here's to your full and rapid recovery! :irishdrinkers:

Get well Seabowl,

I've just been informed that it is very creepy outside. The sight and sound of kids in Doc Griffin Park is missing. The street traffic going by has become virtually non existent. And more of the wild life out back is venturing down from the woodlands and hanging out in the back yard.

These times they are a changing.

Just thought I'd start a thread asking how everyone out there is.

I'm in NY and it's as I'm sure you've seen pretty bad here. On a personal note my doctor is convinced I do have Covid-19 as I have displayed all of the symptoms (headache, fever, loss of appetite (lost 8 lbs) cough, trouble breathing and loss of sense of smell and taste). This all starting happening about 2 1/2 weeks ago but I am feeling a little better now. Problem in NY is that if you are not very very ill you will not be tested. They just expect you to quarantine yourself and stay away from all others. I was exposed to others that have tested positive so it is what it is. I keep taking my vitamin C, D etc.. and try and stay hydrated.

Hope everyone else on this awesome board is doing ok.

Please feel free to share. Thanks and praying for you all.

Go (cough) Hawks!!!!
Get well seabowl, so far, this old ass & lovely wife have been doing well..Before I retired a few years back, I was working at the Portland Oregon Air Port, installing new conveyors, Spring time (about 9 years ago) they were letting workers (behind the High Security areas) bring in items for giveaway, or disposal, Long story Short, I picked up two boxes of (20) 40 in all, of N-95 masks, I took them because I do a lot of work in the garage , creating sawdust + concrete dust Etc.....So, over the last few years, I had only used 11 masks out of the two boxes....Hearing that the Hospital here in Longview Washington was running frighteningly low on these particular type masks, I donated the remainder of masks that I had to the front line warriors @ the hospital......Staying home as much as possible, going out ONLY when getting food & necessary things (BEER!!!)....Please y'all, stay safe....I need somebody BESIDES the wife to argue with :irishdrinkers:

Thank you for all the well wishes as it really means a lot. I am on day 24 from my first symptoms and finally starting to feel better. Still have some of the symptoms but not as bad. Frankly I feel lucky as others I know have had it unfortunately worse than me.

I also finally got a call back from the N.Y. Dept. Of Health ( took 2 1/2 weeks) to get tested which will take place Monday. I told them that I'm starting to feel better so do I even need to be tested at this point and they said yes because you should know if you still have it so as to not spread it. Makes sense. I have to drive down to the beach where they have the testers, roll down my window, get swabbed and wait 3-4 days for the results.

I'm located near NYC and my county is now the hardest hit other than NYC in the country. The local paper lists each day every town and how many reported cases in each. The numbers are staggering. One town which is not very large is now at 750 and that's just the folks who have been tested. Should be interesting when they open the Javits center tomorrow to house Covid-19 vases. IMO they should have done that a month ago to separate those with the virus from others in the hospital with other ailments. Never understood why they would expose all the other patients to this by housing all in the same place.

Again thank you all for the well wishes as it keeps me positive and wanting to check back in with my .NET family. It is much appreciated.
