Niner fans seriously can't see that this game means the NFC West now goes through Seattle. Sorry if our first goal is to win the division (and secure HFA.)

Also, this talk about Super Bowl expectations has only been true for 3 years for your team. When the 49ers sucked, your expectations were...to watch Barry Bonds.
Not so fast with the bolded statement. This was one win within the division, and while impressive as it may be, that doesn't mean the division goes through anywhere just yet. That statement can't be made accurate until all divsional games are played, and after 17 weeks one team has more wins than another.

If the Niners win the NFCW again, will you still say the division goes through Seattle?

Yeah definitely, but a win is a win and a lead is a lead. Don't want to sound rude or anything, but I would obviously rather start with a step ahead than a deficit to overcome. But yes, there are more games to come and nothing is set in stone.

Answer the question.

Rams are 1-0 also... with a home win. Does the division go through St Louis also? Is there a fork in the road??

Nope. Because beating the Cardinals by 3 is not the same as destroying the 49ers by 26.

Unless you think the Rams are as good as the 49ers, which is possible.

It's only two games into the season, and you all were very unspectacular in week one. Give it some time. If the Niners win in SF, both wins are nullified.

Uh huh....and if the shoe was on the other foot...the niners would be crowning themselves superbowl champs by now...and telling everyone else to go home and have a latte....Win ugly, win close, either way its a win!

That's not really true about the Niner fan base. True Niner fans judge by Superbowl wins not regular season. Anything less than a Superbowl is a failure. Seattle domination of the Niners shows just how good you are, but your team and the fans must have higher expectations.

I've heard this comment after every great loss from niner fans. The fact of the matter is that the superbowl is one game, leaving our celebrating for one game is a bit hilarious. Not to mention this means you haven't celebrated since Montana or Young were playing under center. Stop living in the past my friend. I'm sure it was great to watch Montana, I know since I was rooting for them when I was a kid. But i'm in my early 30's now, and have almost forgotten everything about those SuperBowl wins. If you have to watch a video of your team from a quarter century ago to celebrate then you should find better things to do with your time.

Unspectacular?, no accolades for how good the Panthers Defense played eh? seeing how few yards they kept Lynch from running on them, I'd say they're Run Defense was just as good, if not BETTER than the 49rs 'D' was last night
Seahawks won that game with a big disadvantage in both Time Zone, and stifling heat/humidity, and wearing their dark jerseys.
Unspectacular SMH.

Definitely not rude, and I absolutely agree. Our opening schedule is rough... 4 of the 5 games against last year playoff teams, and the fifth team is one we couldn't beat last year. I for one, figured we had a good shot at playing from behind for most of the season; hoped that it worked out differently but I penciled this game in as a L.

To the other poster, I agree that it is not nearly as impressive... However impressive it may be, it still only counts as one win. Do I sound bitter? Yea probably lol... but my team played like caca so sue me haha.

The Rams are 1-1. Seahawks are 2-0, and on top of the NFC West.

Maybe you should pay more attention to how the regular season works, since it plays a part in how teams get to the SuperBowl. Since you're a 49er "fan", which means you don't really watch much football, let me explain how it works:

The division belongs to the team with the best record. If there is a tie for first place in the division, the tie is decided by the team with the best record within the division.

Right now, the Seahawks own the NFC West. 49ers had a chance and they lost. Once again, you are in second place. Get used to it. That's all Harbaugh will ever get you.

I'm thinking about giving 60niner's email to my boss. You see I missed a meeting last week, she was pissed, i replied "Boss, but, you know, i got an A+ in a math test in 5th grade." She was still pissed. If only 60niner can explain to her how it all works. I mean, the A+ is what counts. The A+ is what i expect. It's what counts. No matter how many times i said to her, look at the freakin A+, she was not impressed. I'm at a loss for words why she just doesn't understand.

The childish cheapshots are way unnecessary dude. This isn't about me vs you. You don't know a thing about me and don't pretend that you do, just because you know which team I root for. Why don't we stay on the topic of football...

Yes the Seahawks are 2-0, and everyone else is 1-1. My mind was on divisional wins when I made that comment, while not wrong, I can see how you all were talking about something else.

That logic about Harbaugh is absurd... I guess all you get with Carroll is 4th place then right? I guess if I was forced to choose, I'd take 2nd over 4th any day of the week.

4th place? You are aware that Carroll has won multiple championships and has one of the best records of any coach in NCAA history, right? While the best Harbaugh has ever done was get beat by Oregon and watch them play for the BCS championship, and then lose a Superbowl.

And none of my shots in the last post were personal. I was saying that 49er fans don't watch football because you stated they only care about SuperBowls. Which would mean 49er fans haven't watched much football over the last 20-30 years.

Wait now... I did not say that.

I don't think NCAA talk applies here, at all. None of that matters in the NFL.

Well guess what, since Harbaugh hasn't won the Superbowl he's done nothing in the NFL. Same as the other 3 coachs in the NFC West. No wait, Bruce Arians has 2 superbowl rings as an assistant, that makes him the best coach in the NFC West

No, I'm content with the Seahawks just >BEATING< the whiners last night in front of the whole Nation ---AGAIN.
A Super Bowl appearance and loss by the 49rs last time.
Wait!, were you referring to the 49rs of old?
Someone, NOT A SEAHAWKS FAN, last Year, said that they believed that IF the 49rs were going to win a SB THIS century, they were going to have to get it done very soon, because that window is closing very fast for them.
Kaepernick has proven that he's nowhere near ready to shoulder that team and win it all, that is NOT if he's playing a really good Defense.
