Forgot about that dude. He was solid. This lineup just plain sucks. If only they had 2009 Russell Branyan with his 30 bombs & nearly .900 OPS instead of this Rowdy Tellez fat slob.

Lombard - 102 pitches in just 4 innings, Ace my ass.
I NEVER said I didn't like him. He's been my favorite since he entered the organization, so stop being emotional, he isn't going to invite you over to hang out with him EVER, so chill. He's still my favorite & all the trade talk in the off-season involving him was horrifying. And NO, 5 innings a start is NOT ace material guy. Clearly his isn't REALLY a #1 & that's ok, he's a solid #2 at this point. His increase in K's has obviously led to way more pitches earlier & LESS innings, which is BAD.He needs to be more efficient than he's been his last couple of starts, for sure.
That said, a 2.38 ERA and 0.66 WHIP are very good numbers for a starting pitcher. He also just tacked on 9 more K's to his top ten in the league strikeout total.
So yeah, he's absolutely an ace, despite your ass.
They're all SO BAD. All 3 are totally clueless except Rowdy does a Vogy every 20 AB's & connects for a useless solo HR.Garver Tellez Solano
It's not even like these guys are hitting .200 with an OBP of .300. Not even that.
There's people on here who think 100 pitches & struggling through a whopping FIVE innings is superstar materialLomart - 102 pitches in just 4 innings, Ace my ass.
There is also people here who think through an entire season any "superstar/ace" material pitcher doesn't have off games. While striking out nine, and only giving up one run....There's people on here who think 100 pitches & struggling through a whopping FIVE innings is superstar material

Did you see him stonewall the runner who went down for 2 minutes? lolTellez is looking like a real nice pick up. Great job as usual by Jerry.
Is FOUR innings for a SP ACE material? That post wasn't a response to you or anything you said. Generally when someone quotes a post, that is the comment they are replying to. Maybe go back and look at the post I quoted before throwing one of your little tantrums.
Speaking of getting emotional, calm down TIMD. You get so upset anytime anyone says anything you disagree with.

Then the Grand Slam Jack in extras... we just need some consistency from everyone and its not a too shabby team.. We really do need some kinda mid season acquisition though another 2nd baseman?

I would be good with that line up. As you pointed out, JP had a career year in the leadoff spot and his BB's and OBP is near the top on the team.Honestly, at this point I think they should put JP in the lead off spot, for a couple of reasons. One, OBP is more important than BA for a lead off hitter in my opinion, and JP has a very good OBP of .375 so far. Two, in his best season by far (2023), he hit in the lead off spot the vast majority of that season. Maybe being back in that spot will help him regain some of his form from that season.
For me, this is how I'd set the lineup for now.
1. JP
2. Moore
3. Polanco
4. Cal
5. Randy
6. Julio
7. Williamson
8. Raley/Tellez/Solano/whatever
9. Mastrobuoni
Correct and they forgot what a real ace is, aces eat up innings. There's people on here who think 100 pitches & struggling through a whopping FIVE innings is superstar material
Off games happen but even last season I was complaining about Lomo'sThere is also people here who think through an entire season any "superstar/ace" material pitcher doesn't have off games. While striking out nine, and only giving up one run....

Lomart to me is a 3rd at best until he learns how to use less pitches
per inning, he could eventually and save his arm and the BP.
119 -> 185 -> 190 -> 208 IP per year... Looks to me like he's learning? I think my issue with some of these sentiments is as if 20 games in is some how Logan Gilbert never knew how to improve his game? Which is kind of what you are insinuatingOff games happen but even last season I was complaining about Lomo's
pitch count, it's high whether on or off.
It depletes the BP and puts wear and tear on his arm, he needs to learn
how to pitch less and go 7 or more.
