Another tough loss. They got the clutch hits in extras, we didn't. I wonder why we don't do the sac bunt in extras to get the man to 3d. Burned by that twice today. Our pitching was sub-par today. :(

Lot of division games this month. Off to Texas now.

Rivas getting throw out on 1st
Three balls got past the catcher
Julio sliding past second base and getting tagged out
And this was the worst. Their reliever threw four wild pitches in a row to Rivas. Seven of his next eight pitches were balls including the next four. Cal and Raley swung at four of those balls for ugly strikes. He just threw four wild pitches FFS. Make him prove he can throw a strike. Had Cal and Raley done nothing and forced him to prove he could throw a strike, they’d of both walked. That was bad coaching.

Wilson needs to separate Julio, Cal and Josh in the lineup. We cannot have a three-batter black hole every game. Slow start or not, they are a guaranteed inning killer clustered together

Keep making excuses.

J-Rod gets plopped on to 2nd in the 10th, runs to third on a fly out, then trots home on a base hit. He's all smiles and laughs getting paid an obscence amount of money to let other people do the work.

I wanted to puke in my Ms hat.

Keep making excuses.
I'm not making excuses, it's the Ms and same thing(s)
happen early every year for what? 4-5 yrs now..
You think I'm some huge JRod fan? The one who can't
be a star till the weather is warm.

I’d be surprised if they finish above .500.

I'd be inclined to agree if I thought it was likely that Cal, Julio, and Naylor would continue to hit in the low to mid .100's... but I don't think that's very likely at all. I think it's far more likely that they'll hit much closer to their career averages over the course of the season, and if they do that, they're probably a playoff team or very close to it.

Dan also had Rivas play on the grass with 2 out as if we needed an out home or something. Wtf.
But yeah our star hitters are in their own world right now not listening to Edgar or maybe Edgar isn't doing anything. No idea. Is Seitzer having a say in anything? Just terrible plate discipline. M's last in hitting with RISP and in team average.
The ASStros have 20 more walks than the M's.
