A's line up is not shitty though look at their stats. Their pitching is their weak point.
A's are on the rise IMO.

M's still do not have any pinch hits. What a joke!

PSA Day game today. Lost the series, so need to win today to salvage something.

The M's are bottom 5 in team BA, slugging, and hitting with RISP, while also striking out 3rd most in baseball.

That's a recipe for a lot of low scoring games.
Same ol' Mariners. They added 1 contact guy and kept all the same high strikeout guys except Suarez. Not shocked it's so far going exactly as I knew it would.

I totally get why some people feel that way, but to be honest, I think there were a lot of very valid reasons to believe that a 1 through 5 consisting of Donovan, Cal, Julio, Naylor, and Randy would be pretty damn good. 🤷‍♂️

How in the world is that not an out? On the radio broadcast, Rick was pretty pissed. That's rare.
On another note, Bases loaded, 3-2, 2 outs and Canzone leaves the bat on his shoulders. Ugh.
Gotta' protect the plate. Can't get a hit with the bat on your shoulders, kid.

And the M's are struggling with shitty Sacramento once again. Looks like another sweep. SMH.

Gilbert gonna be at 100 pitches in the 5th. Baserunners literally every single inning.

Randy is so overrated

He's been pretty good so far this season. He's got the most hits, most runs, most stolen bases, 2nd highest OBP, and 3rd highest BA on the team. And no, his numbers aren't just good by M's standards. They're just good.

That said, I agree that he's overrated in general. He made a big name for himself by having one of the best postseasons in baseball history with the Rays in 2020, but over the course of his entire career he's been a pretty good player, but certainly not a great one.

I think it's time to consider moving Munoz into a different role and putting Brash in the closer role. At least for a bit.

Cal, Julio, and Naylor all came through with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th to win the game. So nice to see these 3 heating up.

Walk off win!

We basically suck against soft throwing, throwback to the 90s pitchers. Once they put in a pitcher that could throw a real big league fastball, we started making contact and getting hits.

A's hitters can make contact like demons. Hits, bloopers, and foul balls.

I guess by the rules, a player can't "catch" the ball with his shirt. Who knew?

Munoz blows the save, and gets the win.

Even weirder than Gilbert's shirt catch is how the umps seem to know all the really obscure rules that, conveniently for them, mostly go against them M's. Like the 1B pickoff that... nope, sorry, that's a balk.

I don't think it's weird at all that major league umpires know the rules of the game they are being well paid to officiate. It's a pretty critical aspect of their job to know the rules.

Oh, I guess I forgot the winky-wink emoticon for that post. Oh well.
