A lot of hatred for a guy that put his health on the line repeatedly to help us get to 2 SBs and win 1.

Very well stated, sir. :thirishdrinkers:

And it should be mentioned that HE should have been the SB 48 MVP.
Malcom was just in the right place at the right time. Kam set the tone.

Apparently Ray Lewis had a lot to do with this as well per 710. Stephen A is on with Brock/Salk now and said the two have been talking a lot lately and that his words resonated with him.

I'll be booing him as loud as I can from section 134 come Sunday.

Why do you boo pro athletes? They have, or at least should have, zero impact on you or your life.

Not judging you, just a question. What do you derive from it?

Because I have an interest in the performance of the team? That's what being a fan is, afterall.

The number of people who seem to think that it is certain that the last two games would have been wins (or even just one) with Chancellor is disturbing. This team is obviously better with the guy, but come on.

It was a knee-jerk response. He changed his mind and elaborated on that.

It wasn't necessarily knee-jerk; my conclusion was more of a cost-benefit analysis. At this moment I consider Kam a self-aggrandizing dick. How could you not? He actively schemed to put this team in the worst situation possible as a means to strengthen his holdout. I'd love to give him the opportunity to move his actions more in line with his previously team-focused comments, hence I'll keep my mouth shut.

I've already said I think they are 0-2 either way. Maybe they get by St. Louis, but I doubt it.. after all they had Kam at top health for that one last year and still lost.

But if you don't think some of the players probably don't feel that way, I'd say you are naive. Earl Thomas sounded fed up about the whole thing.

I understand those that are torn on this, I am as well. However ultimately I think we can all understand that every one of us makes mistakes and will at some point need forgiveness from someone somewhere in our lives for something stupid we did.

None of us know whether we would have won either of the 1st two games with Kam or not. We can speculate but that is all it is, speculation. Who's to say he doesn't help us win a game against Cincy or Carolina later this season because he's on the field with fresh legs and avoided getting dinged up because he was out the first 2 games. That's just as equally speculation as saying we would have beat the Rams or GB had he been here. We don't know either way so to use that as something to hold against him is not fair.

I for one hope that all wounds can be healed and forgiving on both sides and a trust can be cultivated between the players and this front office again.

Per Adam Schefter: Here's what Kam Chancellor texted Stephen A. Smith: "Ima go help my teammates that are understanding of my position and the ones who aren't. God forgives all, why can't i? Time to help us get back to the big dance . I can address business after the season. Me and Marshawn started a mission 2 years ago. I can't let my Dawg down....Real talk."
Translation: Paul Allen and the Seahawks weren't gonna budge so I'm here before I lose even more money. I'm going to try again to renegotiate this coming offseason and if I'm unsuccessful at making that happen, I will ask for, maybe even demand a trade in the to a team that will pay me more.

As for the rest of this season, this................

Seems like a pointless exercise that already did some irrevocably damage.

I can only hope his conditioning is up to par and he doesn't hurt himself immediately like DeSean Jackson and Dez Bryant (both of whom also missed preseason).

This. I'm holding out a lot of optimism until we see him play and make it through 2 games without pulling a hamstring or something. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but like David7 said, it's very common for players that miss time in the offseason to get hurt when they come back.

It's Wednesday. I could see them not even playing him against Chicago. We're 14.5 pt favorites without Kam.

He sounded fed up talking about it. Naive would be inferring more than that.

But to each his own.. Opinions will be just that. Only fact here is that Kam is now back with the Seahawks.

I wonder if the Hawks will use the whole thing...

[tweet]https://twitter.com/bcondotta/status/646705878670807041[/tweet]

I would assume this means he won't be playing this week? Or am I misinterpreting that.

Not necessarily. It just means he can start practicing right away and they don't have to cut anyone yet until they are sure he's ready. They could activate him Saturday night and make a cut then.

I think this will happen. He'll play on Sunday.

It's possible that the reason for the exemption is to purposely keep Kam out this weekend, or maybe even activate him and at least see how the game progresses, and if they are killing the Bears, they may let Kam sit out the game anyway. It could be their intention to make the points that they can win without Kam, and that Kam was not the reason they lost their first 2 games, and that those games were probably the toughest games on the schedule. Hopefully now that he's back, all the posturing games can stop and they just let him play as soon as he's physically ready.

Bottom line, winning cures all this crap. There were problems in the locker room last year too, then they rattled off 9 wins in 10 weeks.

Beat the Bears and this starts to fade.

FWIW.. its already been reported that he will play Sunday. Doesn't say how much or if he will start, just that he will play

Trying to find a silver lining in all this, with all the games and injuries Kam has played the last couple of years as a result of going deep in the playoffs, Kam could end up being a little fresher in the playoffs for playing a few less regular season games.
