Are we really feeding into this so called "Seahawks Hype", if were the ones who "believed" in the first place, as a fan base, and as a team.
Richard Sherman said it best, the Seahawks weren't playing the 49ers, they were playing themselves, with a goal in mind each and every game to push themselves to a Championship level.
Even with 2 wins, 1 on the road, and a thrashing at home, nobody is pleased with the Seahawks' passing game right now or the Offensive Line for that fact. Its just something that has to get better. But even through the struggle, I think Wilson is statistically better than he was at this time last year, and the Jaguars have a good enough D to give him some solid competition while the Seahawks try to workout the kinks before the road trip.
Also, while Kaepernick might be more athletic and more physically talented than Russell Wilson. The biggest difference between the two is poise and resiliency. Wilson is getting dominated with sacks on 10% of his throws for 5th worst in the NFL, that's not including the hurries, hits, and freebies in the read-option. Yet, Wilson doesn't complain, doesn't looked shell-shocked, doesn't get heated. Wilson keeps his poise, his Championship demeanor, and he grinds out each and every corner. So while some defenses might see the 4th QTR as 15 minutes until game over, Wilson see's it as 15 minutes of opportunity to play better than the play before.
And with Wilson (along with our D & ST) I think the Seahawks have a great chance to be a great road team going forward because #3 might get dominated for 3 QTRs, but he'll eventually figure it out with great play in the 4th QTR with all the chips down, and the cards on the table.
