This is cool. I never heard this story before.
Shit! I knew we had it when we won the NFC championship game. This team was special. I’ve never been so confident in a team all year. When they lost to Atlanta the year before I said the same thing as Russ regarding the next season. We had it.I knew the game was over the second that ball went over Peyton’s head on the first snap and we got the safety. I knew it in my soul and I even told everyone at the watch party that. I knew it was over. What a feeling. What a game. I can die a happy man.

I remember. Pepperidge Farm definitely remembers. Son was shook as hell that he was gonna get body slammed or decleated by BB and/or Bam Bam.I knew it when Eric Decker gave the pregame interview. He genuinely looked scared
lol. I remember stating out loud that the Percy Harvin deal was well worth it after that KO return.I wasn't sure until the first 12 seconds of the second half happened.
If Kearse had kept his wits, he could have rolled into the endzone untouched.I knew we had won, when I saw Harvin take the second half kickoff the distance. I also remember seeing his eyes, and realizing he was high as a kite.
I also knew we would win back-to-back Super Bowls from that moment, until the second I saw them not give the ball to Lynch.
I remember saying that there was no one else I trusted as much as RW3, to drive the distance, and come from behind to win, when that ill fated drive started.
When he threw the most amazing pass in Super Bowl history, to Kearse, I remember thinking how that play would be right up there with Lynch running it across the goal line for the win, as the top highlights of the game.
Then I saw Wilson in pistol, and saw Lynch running without the ball. Yelled no at the TV, and...
One way or another, the ball should have gone to Lynch. He was uncovered out of the back field, all the way to the end zone.
Honestly, Kam should have been MVP. It still irks me to this day.For me, it was when Kam laid out Thomas (rest in peace DT).
That hit set a tone for the rest of the game
