I've been really impressed with Jeanpierre this year and at this point would rather see him in there over Unger. Unger has just been healthy and those low snaps have hurt us. Thoughts?

Unger has not been healthy all year and I think at this point I may prefer Jeanpierre in there. If healthy, I would prefer Unger.

Unger's inconsistent snaps have really hurt us a few times. Jeanpierre has really stepped up when needed.

Yeah, I have been very impressed with Jeanpierre when he has stepped in, plus he doesn't snap the ball low every time we go into shotgun formation.

Right now, it seems like Jeanpierre > Unger.

Didn't we draft Unger as a guard? Maybe he could help us there :) I mean even if the guy isn't a Pro-Bowl snapper he's a Pro-Bowl blocker.

He was better than Unger last week too when he came into the game.

Snaps obvious advantage JP

BUT you can't compare a starter against Atlanta with the performance against St Louis, Carolina etc

Does anyone here know how to evaluate a center? I mean I know I sure as hell can't.

Unger's been playing hurt all year as well.

That's all I have to say.

Yeah, would be interesting to hear from someone who knows their stuff about Oline.

I feel like Unger is great at picking up blitzes and calls a lot out. But that really never helped because of the lack of talent on the line.

I am impressed with JP though. I wonder how he'd fare against the Panthers, Whiners, Texans players.

If everyone took this attitude then this board would have no posts. We're here to discuss matters relating the the Seahawks. Everyone's free to give their differing opinion.

Unger will start when healthy. I'm just happy to have somebody like JP on the squad.

Oh for sure, it's some positions are just hard to figure out. I mean I could probably make a sorta decent observation about receivers, QB's, tackles etc. Also not hard to see Mcquistan is getting run by repeatedly. But center isn't an obvious thing and I feel its based more off team results than individual play.

JP is a great insurance policy, I bet we'll see him at guard a bit when Unger comes back.
