It would be good for the Hawks to lose one down the stretch

This is a preemptive asinine comment made in hopes that the moron that actually thinks this is true won't be compelled to really write something like this in the next few weeks. You're welcome.

I think they'll lose one if they get the division and number 1 seed locked up early and we play backups. Although I don't know to who though as I don't see us losing at home.

We could lose to any of the teams left on the schedule. Feel good about our chances though.

I'm thinking NO is going to be a tougher game than most of us think.

They are supposedly bad against the run, but only give up 7 ypg more than us. We give up 178 ypg through the air and NO only gives up 200. They give up more points than we do, but their defense is pretty decent and their offense is better in most categories except explosive plays.

We have a major home field advantage, but if we don't play well, we can lose that game.

I'm having a better feeling about the Niners game once we get our OL back, healthy and in synch.

We could be facing a surging Giants team on a very long road trip.

Those are the only 3 games I worry about losing, and I'm betting we only lose 2 of those at worst. NO/SF is going to be very interesting. I'm actually rooting for NO, as I don't see anyone else on the Niner's schedule that is a threat to them except us.

The Saints game will be tough, so I guess if they "have" to lose one I could accept that one.

FWIW, I think it's very possible that the 'near misses' against TB and StL could be a significant factor in teaching this team not to a) assume a win or b) come out flat. I'm not saying we will ever know for sure that this is true, and if we win out in convincing fashion it would be the ultimate form of taking correlation as causation to point to StL/TB as turning points.

That said, I think that being reminded of their mortality might have been a good reminder that, despite how incredibly talented they are, they still have to go out and execute in order to win. It might even be that the TB scare in particular was effective - struggling to beat a talented-but-struggling division rival on the road is one thing, but being down 21 points to a terrible team AT HOME is another.

Anyways, I know the OP was posting sarcastically, but in football, like in life, there is a benefit to facing adversity. With leadership like we have, what doesn't kill this team will only make them stronger. I don't think it will be 'good' for the Seahawks to lose one more, but I don't think it would derail them.

The Rams scare me, more than any other team. Those DE's are just frigging nasty!
A healthy Percy Harvin and a healthy o-line we nuetralize them a bit.

Superstition is always dumb; doesn't stop people from having "game day rituals" or believing in the Madden Curse, though. ;)

This kind of talk is 100% pure horse sh*t!! It is an echo from 2005 as we neared the end of the season. I got the sense that the team "wanted" to lose before the end of the season......like they were feeling "guilty" for winning so many games. Some fans felt like they needed the taste of a loss going into the Playoffs. Let's put that thinking to rest right now!
