Is Rawls currently the best Rookie back in the NFL?

^^^^ Exactly.

It's like, what % of high-priced FAs end up bettering or even equaling their previous performance?

If this was all or even mostly about individual talent it would be practically all of them, and instead, it's almost none of them.

(one of the reasons why when I hear my fellow 9ers fans getting excited and window shopping with all the cap room the team has next year, I think they instead should be pretty terrified about it).

I took the games in which Rawls got more than 5 carries which was 7.

He had 735 yards for 105 average on the season.

In those games he had 5 Total TDs.

Across 12 games thats 1260 yards about 9 TDs.

If you add Lynch numbers, 417 yards, 3 TDs, to Rawls 7 game total.

You get a 1152 yard back with 8 TDs.

Rawls might not be as talented as Gurley and Johnson, 1st and 3rd round draft picks, but the dude is arguably the most valuable rookie RB in the NFL in 2015. Best is debatable, but Most Valuable is not so much.

1. Rawls is undrafted. Meaning that the team did not invest a draft pick especially a high one and hes cheaper than his counterparts.

2. Replacement. Rawls not only had to replace one of the top 3 RBs of the last 3-4 years in Lynch. Rawls presence has sort of unlocked this offense into a powerhouse. He brings the YAC physicality of Lynch, paired with great vision with oustanding quickness to the hole and enough speed and accelerration to hit the homeruns on the edge or through the 2nd level.

David Johnson has 10 TD's.

Doesn't make him a better back, just a different set of chances and a different philosophy on the goal line, we pass more then we run or did.

I'm not saying hes better, but he's been overlooked by everyone here because he gets basically no media coverage.

TBF the same could be said for TJ Yeldon, who is also a rookie back who is putting together a really nice rookie season for himself which is just totally ignored.

Hard to really rank them as if you're looking for a "complete" back I'd put Gurley, Johnson, and Yeldon all over Rawls, but for what the Seahawks want from their RB, I think Rawls is a damn good fit, and right up there with Gurley if not even a little higher so far (within their scheme).

Interesting. Are any Seahawks any good then? Or like Wilson and Sherman they are just good in our system? Kind of a trend with you.

I'm not saying he is the best I just think it's kind of funny how you seem to follow the same script and argument for any Seahawk.

On a side note who would you rather have, Rawls or Hyde?
