In that our WR's practised against Browner many times and are aware of his weaknesses on deep patterns, there should be several efforts to test him out -- my prophecy: one TD, 2 PI's.

I remember reading that Baldwin toasted him in practice, then would brag about it.

Baldwin is decent against the jam, familiar with Browner's jam, and is ultra quick out of his breaks. Just the type of WR that gives BB fits. We'll see, but I would expect to see Baldwin on Browner, unless they move Revis around to cover that up.

I can't wait for the pass interference call on Browner - will be laughing

Hopefully his former seattle teammates send over some stuff to smoke before the game as well....

Yeah, I can totally see our offensive coordinator designing plays to exploit Browner.

...HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Wait so are you saying in the bevell vs belichick matchup you don't check the box for the Seahawks?

I thinkk anytime Seattle needs convert 3rd and long you just have to run a double move on him past the 5 yard mark....he will grab the smaller quicker guys every time.

The quicker, smaller WRs always give Browner fits and always have...

Not really. He gives them an intimidating presence that their defense has not had in several years. When Patrick Chung is your SS, you need an enforcer in the defensive backfield.

Like they did against the Colts' Coby Fleener, they will likely try to get Browner matched up against Luke Willson. Willson has struggled at times making catches in traffic . . . or making catches, period.

Kyle Arrington played 40% of the snaps in the regular season, mainly at slot corner, and 100% of the snaps in their last game. Arrington, Chung, Hightower, Collins, and Browner will all be challenged in coverage in this game. McCourty and Revis obviously pose the biggest challenge for our receivers.

I doubt it, but he's like any player including our guys who can be exported if the right plays are called.

I think we'll see a lot of what NE did to Indy

Revis on Moncrief (Kearse)
Browner on Fleener (Willson)
Arrington on Hilton (Angry Doug)

It worked almost flawlessly. But who knows

The Pats most likely will have Browner covering a Seahawks' TE like they had Browner on the Colts' TE and did a great job in coverage.

What the Pats do is sometimes will play in zone and sometimes man to man with lots of different schemes.

The Pats are a matchup team...

Most likely in man coverage the Pats will take away your best weapon and force you to beat them by throwing to the lesser WR's in pass coverage. They can do that now since they have Revis.

The Pats did a great job covering the Broncos', Bengals', Bears', Lions', Colts' twice, Chargers, Packers' WR's. The offenses and QB's on those teams are more explosive than the Seahawks' offense (AJ Green, Brandon Marshall, Demaryius Thomas, Calvin Johnson, TY Hilton, Jordy Nelson.)

Revis will be put on the Seahawks' #1 or #2 best WR. If they put Revis on the Seahawks' #2 then they will put Kyle Arrington on the #1 WR and double team him with a safety over the top like as we saw the Pats put Revis on Moncrief and they put Arrington on TY with a safety over the top and took them out of the game.

Pats have the deepest secondary in the NFL that can actually cover now. It's a very good secondary.

I think the Pats will use all different kinds of packages in the secondary to confuse Wilson and not letting him beat them deep. They'll make sure not to load up the box too much against the run and keep 2 safety's deep.

The Pats have a better secondary than the Packers do. I think the Packers have a better D-line. Pats' LB's are good (Collins, Hightower.)

Since the Seahawks don't have the WR's the Colts or Ravens have I believe you won't see Wilson throwing in Revis' direction. He'll be throwing in double coverage. I think the Pats will do a good job at confusing Wilson in pass coverage.

The Seahawks advantage offensively is their run game. They basically keep it extremely simple....run, run, run, run, run, pass, run, run, run, run, pass, pass deep. It's effective. It forces teams to commit to trying to stop the run and load up the box, which creates single coverage and open WR's. It's the "Tim Tebow" effect like what the Broncos did to the Steelers in the 2011 playoffs. The Steelers loaded up the box and dared Tebow to beat him with his arm. He did on that one important play. Yes, Yes, I know Wilson is much better than Tebow but you should get what I'm saying. It seems defensive coordinators still don't respect Wilson's arm and focus on stopping the run and preventing him from scrambling. I think Wilson is an overrated scrambler but an underrated passer. A lot of coaches are dumb and do stupid things or stubborn and don't adjust like Jack Del Rio. Belichick's coaching staff makes constant adjustments.

This game comes down to the Seahawks' D-line and Pats' O-line. If they get to Brady like the Gmen did and like what the Hawks did to Manning then the Seahawks win.

If the Pats' O-line gives Brady time in the pocket and the Pats go up-tempo no huddle, Pats win.

Remember, Ravens got pressure on Brady and blitzed him sometimes and the Pats' offense smoked the Ravens' D.

Pats 28, Seahawks 24.

Arrington played the whole Indy game at CB and shut TY Hilton down -- as you pointed out Browner covered the TE -- in that Browner's 40 time (8-9 yrs ago) was 4.63, it would seem that Willson should have a speed advantage.

Patriots' secondary...

CB's...
Revis
Browner
Arrington
Ryan
Butler

Safety's...
McCourty
Chung

DB's..
Ebner
Harmon
Wilson

It was Harmon who made the INT against Flaco to seal the win.

The Pats list some CB's and some Safety's as "DB's" and they put them in all sorts of different positions. In some plays they'll use McCourty as a CB and keep Harmon and Wilson back as safety's. It confuses the heck out of Peyton, Luck, Stafford, Rodgers.

One thing is true....the Hawks cannot allow Brady to take lunch while looking for his WR's. He has a quick release as it is, so our DB's will have to be on their WR's and TE's like flypaper!

Would not be surprised at all if New England employed a similar coverage strategy against Seattle as they did against Indy. Bracket off Baldwin with CB+Safety coverage, put Revis on Kearse, put Browner on Willson (or Moeaki). Against Indy, they double covered T.Y. w/ Arrington and McCourty, isolated Revis on Wayne, and had Browner on the TE.

Now, maybe you say it's crazy to double cover Baldwin, but where does SEA get its offense if he's eliminated and Kearse is neutralized by Revis? You're really banking on Lockette/Norwood and hoping Willson can abuse Browner. Seattle O vs. Indy Secondary is going to be a really underrated chess-match in this game. You'd really have to test Revis and Browner on deep balls w/ Kearse and Willson if this is what NE wants to do. Getting Lynch/Turbin involved in both the run and pass game may also be a huge factor.

All depends on how we attack him.

SEA fans all know his weaknesses. Small twisty guys like Baldwin. Of course, we also know he can square one of those guy up and make him hate living.

A couple of times he has struggled with 4 verts. Which doesn't matter when they put him on the TE.

Browner is going to be an important piece to that gameplan . My guess is he plays QB spy the entire game .

I would think they would keep Revis on Baldwin and use BB on our bigger WRs. I hope we put guys in motion on his side to help them get an easier release.
