Not gonna lie: Verse. He is already the real deal. Murphy has a chance to be great and I hope to see a big jump next year.

If I was making the pick during the draft - Murphy.

Now, probably Verse... but I would still hesitate due to age with Murphy being 22 and Verse being 24. And considering that DTs such as Jarrett, Lawrence, Simmons, Jones, Vea didn't ascend to be Pro Bowl players until their mid-20s, I'd be somewhat scared of passing on the player that a fully developed Murphy could be.

Verse makes a ton of sense for the Rams given the understandable desire to capitalize of Stafford's remaining years.

I wanted Verse. Nothing against Murphy but…think we could’ve used an Edge (although, at the time of the draft, we appeared stacked)..

Verse being from Dayton gave him an edge…see what I did thur?

Nm…

Murphy was a great pick. He’s going to get better and better.

Because he plays for the favorite team of dot net? 🤮 :ROFLMAO:

It’s starting to get unhealthy Fish!

There may be some obsession. Gotta give you that. For me, it’s a divisional opponent that was facing cap uncertainty…whose picks were middle of the road (much like ours), etc. Yet, they’re still performing very well.

I think MM and the Hawks will surpass McVay and the Rams but, it’s going to take a bit more time for sure.

I wanted Verse over Murphy but I was still happy with Murphy.
Hopefully Mike can continue to mold him and make him a dominate force. At least he was out there and playing well. Just not a difference maker yet like Verse.

I didn't love either of them, but yeah -- verse in retrospect would've been great.

Verse looks like an absolute hit and so it would be crazy not to take him in hindsight. That being said, if we had access to perfect information then we'd do everything differently so it's kind of a moot point. It's hard to fault the logic in taking Murphy where we did.

Yeah the Eagles pulling Carter at 9 and then Quinyon at 22 in back to back drafts is great process. And then jumping up 10 spots for Dejean. Masterclass.

Either would be great. Murphy plays a position that will take a little more time to figure it out. I wanted Verse at the time, sexier name but Murphy is what we needed and he will be just fine. He's still 2 years younger than Verse as well.

Too early to tell.
Was gonna' say the same. Takes 2 or 3 seasons. And again, how much does it really matter? Both teams got damn good players. Not everything has to be a comparison. Sometimes, both teams get damn good players. Cool.

Verse had a better year, no doubt. It’s a marathon though, not a sprint.

On the list of Seahawks draft “If you could do it over again”, this ranks very, very , very low.

A friendly shout out to Andy Heck, Dan McGwire, Rick Mirer, Lamar King, Kelly Jennings, Aaron Curry, Malik McDowell, and LJ Collier.
