This is JUST FOR FUN, and answering someone other than Murphy does NOT mean you no longer believe in Murphy. Just a thought exercise. Put on your GM hat. If given the option to turn back time, do you still take Murphy or do you perhaps take another player?

I look forward to this creating some interesting discussion - hopefully football based without any shit-slinging or allegations of blasphemy.

Personally, I agreed with the choice of Murphy at the time and still think he's quite good, but I might take Verse, who was my second choice and has hit in a way I didn't expect. Hard decision, but I think I'd go Verse. It's close.

Before: Verse was on all my mocks before the draft.

After: I yielded to the wisdom of Schneider and Macdonald after the draft.

Now:
I felt like Most of 12s would be happy if we drafted Verse.

Murphy is a work horse, Verse a show horse. I am holding on to the faith that Murphy made people around him play better

Hawkblogger just had some stats out. Good run defender and on pass down situations he was 7th best DT in the league at pressure percentage. For some reason he didn't get much opportunity. Him playing more 3T will open him up more.

Verse is good and I am sure his pressure percentage is good, but he had 4.5 sacks. Let's see how he grows too

I loved the pick… Certainly a position of need. Still do as a matter of fact and it certainly wasn’t a reach (which drives me crazy).

I would have loved Verse at the same spot as well.

That said, Verse surprised me with how special he is right out of the gate. If you give me a DeLorean and hit 88 mph, I’m probably taking him over Murphy.

I dont know. He fell. We got him its year 2. I was expecting more Aaron Donaldness. Maybe he fell for a reason. Steady but not spectacular. Looking forward to him with Tank in more even fronts. Aaron wasn't Aaron for a bit. I much prefer the 4-3. Two dynamic DE; two dts. Besides...we don't have a NT.

I mean, if you wanna' dwell on what other teams have, instead of just appreciating what you have on your own roster......

They like their guy, we like ours. Both can exist. All it ever turns into is JS bashing and/or talking about who other teams drafted. I feel like I have to say this a lot :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Lighten up......it's just a joke. ✌️🍺🍿
